"Israel tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon while I was covering the event that targeted bridges and led to the forced displacement of a million people—an act of ethnic cleansing on a scale even larger than the Nakba.
I have no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims that there were no warnings before the strike and no notifications were sent to the Lebanese army, which granted us permission to film.
As we saw in Gaza, they want to silence journalists who document and report on the war crimes they are committing.
It is the Western powers that provide political and military support to Israel, supplying it with weapons to the core to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not just complicit, they are active participants, and they must be held accountable for their actions."
