Why Iran split from US GPS system?

It's a geo-political realignment!

Iran has just shut off GPS across its territory — and switched to China’s Beidou satellite system. Why now? What does it mean for U.S. dominance in space-based navigation and warfare?

In this episode of GVS Deep Dive, Najma Minhas unpacks Iran’s bold strategic pivot — and why it may mark the beginning of the end for America’s global GPS monopoly. From WhatsApp tracking scandals and drone warfare to China’s high-precision Beidou system and Belt & Road integration, this decision carries major military and geopolitical consequences.

▶️ Watch till the end to understand:

  • Why GPS was always a tool of U.S. soft power
  • How the 1996 Taiwan Strait crisis pushed China to develop Beidou
  • What makes Beidou uniquely powerful in battlefield environments
  • How Iran and the Global South are quietly building independence from Western tech

What the Hell Just Happened in the Middle East You May Ask?

By Mark Sleboda (@MarkSleboda1)

My take

The US/Israel realized that their regime change plans were not coming to fruition, that the Iranian govt had more support & stronger foundations than they believed, that Israeli air defense was collapsing/exhausted and that an attrition war of long range strike was going to go badly for Israel. And Trump began to get freaked out over the rising price of oil with the Iranian threat of closing the strait of Hormuz.

So they wrapped it up, declared victory, and demanded a ceasefire. Iran agreed because they too have been badly shaken through Israeli covert warfare and their own air defense all but collapsed.

This will only be kicked down the road, and both sides will start rebuilding, and making preparations and plans for the next round, the next war. This was only a skirmish at the end of the day.

Iran for surviving, maintaining a civilian nuclear enrichment program, and for the fact that it was the US/Israel that pushed for the "ceasefire" imho comes out slightly ahead on points.

The biggest loser - the collapse of the UN's NNPT & international law.

Global protests: Hands off Palestine and Iran

Protests are growing around the world as people demand an end to US-Israeli war mongering.

No one is fooled any longer by Washington and Tel Aviv lies.

Why Trump’s Golden Dome must be opposed

In January 2025, Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the US armed forces to construct a missile defense system – the ‘Golden Dome’ – a proposed multi-layer defense system, comparable to the Iron Dome system in Israel. It aims to place and maintain space weapons orbit, for the first time in history.

The proposed system will be exorbitant. According to US Congress sources it could cost several trillion dollars. This would require the US to cut virtually every one of its remaining social programs.

Such a military system would inflict ever more damage to the environment both on and around our planet.

Trump wants such a system, so that the US can launch a nuclear attack on another nuclear armed country and the US be confident that it has sufficient defenses to reduce the impact of any retaliatory missiles launched against US to levels deemed acceptable to US military planners.

As the US advances its war drive, it is developing its military alliances with other countries and locking them into its war preparations. Military coordination is being stepped up with increased ‘interoperability’ of hardware. In these alliances, such as NATO, it is always the US that is ‘in charge of the tip of the spear’.

Bruce Gagnon, in discussion with Dae-Han Song, explains why the proposed Golden Dome should be opposed.

Bruce Gagnon has been organizing to stop the new arms race in space (Star Wars) since 1982. He began by coordinating the Florida Coalition for Peace and Justice from 1983-1998. During those years, in 1992, he co-founded the Global Network Against Weapons & Nuclear Power in space that he now coordinates. Iran warns & then fires missiles at U.S. base in Qatar

Missiles are visible over Doha, Qatar, after Iran's armed forces say they targeted Al-Udeid Air Base in a missile attack Monday. (Reuters)

AP

Iran launched a missile attack targeting a U.S. military base in Qatar on Monday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said, after the country’s leaders vowed to retaliate for U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites. Qatar condemned the strike, which it said its air defenses intercepted. Explosions were reported in the sky over the Qatari capital, Doha, which is about 20 miles northeast of al-Udeid Air Base, the forward headquarters for U.S. Central Command and home to about 10,000 troops. The Pentagon is not aware of any U.S. casualties or deaths, a U.S. defense official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss ongoing assessments. The attack followed a warning from the U.S. Embassy in Qatar urging American citizens there to shelter in place.

Soon after Iran fired missiles at Qatar, neighboring Bahrain said that it was suspending air traffic as a precautionary measure “in light of the evolving regional situation.” Air raid sirens also sounded in the country, the interior ministry said late Monday, urging residents to find the nearest safe place.

Al-Udeid Air Base holds the largest U.S. contingent in the Middle East. The base, which is owned by Qatar and located 20 miles southwest of the capital, Doha, is a forward command post for U.S. Central Command, the military combatant command with overall responsibility for the Middle East, and can house more than 10,000 troops.

Tehran Times

TEHRAN – Iran targeted the biggest U.S. base in West Asia on Monday, firing the same number of missiles American forces used on Iran's nuclear sites over the weekend to hit the Al Udeid Air Base in the Persian Gulf country of Qatar, according to a statement by Iran's Supreme National Security Council.

In a separate statement, the Iranian Armed Forces said the country is ready to hit more American targets in the future if Washington persists with its aggression against Iran. "The will of the powerful, popular Armed Forces of Iran will ensure that any repeat of mischief will only accelerate the collapse of America’s military presence in the region, their humiliating retreat from West Asia, and the realization of the shared aspiration of the Islamic Ummah and freedom-seeking nations of the world—the eradication of the cancerous Zionist tumor,” the statement read.

It is believed that the base was evacuated before the strikes. Experts believe Iran is capable of carrying out the same type of attacks against the 18 other American bases scattered across West Asia.

Democrat Party leaders divided over Israel

AP

Many prominent Democrats with 2028 presidential aspirations had been silent on the Israel-Iran war, even before Trump’s attack on Iran announcement — underscoring how politically tricky the issue can be for the party.

“They are sort of hedging their bets,” said Joel Rubin, a former deputy assistant secretary of state who served under Democratic President Barack Obama and is now a strategist on foreign policy. “The beasts of the Democratic Party’s constituencies right now are so hostile to Israel’s war in Gaza that it’s really difficult to come out looking like one would corroborate an unauthorized war that supports Israel without blowback.”

The staunch support from the Democratic administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for Israel’s war against Hamas loomed over the party’s White House ticket in 2024, even with the criticism of Israel’s handling of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Trump exploited the divisions to make inroads with Arab American voters and Orthodox Jews on his way back to the White House.

Today, the Israel-Iran war is the latest test for a party struggling to repair its coalition before next year’s midterm elections and the quick-to-follow kickoff to the 2028 presidential race. The party will look to bridge the divide between an activist base that is skeptical of foreign interventions and already critical of U.S. support for Israel and more traditional Democrats and independents who make up a sizable, if not always vocal, voting bloc.

In a statement after Israel’s first strikes on Iran, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said Israel has a right to defend itself and “the United States’ commitment to Israel’s security and defense must be ironclad as they prepare for Iran’s response.”

Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-Nev) said “the U.S. must continue to stand with Israel, as it has for decades, at this dangerous moment.”

Other Democrats have condemned Israel’s strikes and accused Netanyahu of sabotaging nuclear talks with Iran. They are reminding the public that Trump withdrew in 2018 from a nuclear agreement that limited Tehran’s enrichment of uranium in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions negotiated during the Obama administration.

“Trump created the problem,” Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., posted on X.

Updating the U.S. strikes on Iran: Did they work?

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council; former president of Russia

So, what exactly did the US accomplish with its midnight strike on three targets in Iran?

1.     Iran’s critical nuclear infrastructure appears to be intact – or at worst, only minimally damaged.

2.     Uranium enrichment will continue. And let’s just say it plainly now: so will Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons.

3.     Several countries are reportedly ready to supply Iran with nuclear warheads directly.

4.     Israel is under fire, explosions are echoing through its cities, and civilians are panicking.

5.     The US is now entangled in yet another conflict, this one carrying the very real possibility of a ground war.

6.     Iran’s political leadership has not only survived – it may have grown stronger.

7.     Even Iranians who opposed the regime are now rallying around it.

8.     Donald Trump, the self-styled peace president, has just launched a new war.

9.     The overwhelming majority of the international community is siding against the US and Israel.

10.  At this rate, Trump can kiss that Nobel Peace Prize goodbye – despite how absurdly compromised the award has become.

So, congratulations, Mr. President. Truly a stellar start.

Have bombers, will bomb: U.S. Strikes Iranian Nuclear Sites

War Finds A Way

By Bill Astore (Retired USAF Lt. Col. and history professor)

President Trump announced tonight that the U.S. has bombed three nuclear sites in Iran. After these attacks, he’s now asking for peace.

That the attacks were coming was obvious. Even Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard was brought firmly into line before the attacks. As the Downing Street Memo said about the Iraq War, the intelligence was fixed around the policy. In Iraq, the policy was a regime-change war; with Iran, the policy is to destroy nuclear sites and possibly to topple the Iranian government. A predetermined policy determines what is a “fact” and what isn’t.

When you have an empire like the U.S. that devotes so much of its money and resources to the military, and when you have leaders desperate to be seen as “strong” and decisive, this is what happens. Military attacks followed by declarations that America seeks peace. War for peace. It makes no sense, but there you go.

Cui bono? Who benefits? Certainly, Israel in its ongoing efforts to dominate the region. Israel’s influence over U.S. foreign policy is remarkable. There was no way Trump was not going to bomb Iran, given the push from Israel to do so.

What happens next, I don’t know. But I did think that this was exactly what Trump would do—bomb Iran—because it’s always what the U.S. does.

Somewhere, in perhaps some hell, John McCain is singing a ditty about bombing Iran. People may have made fun of him, but the man predicted the future—and the future is now.

Pentagon official axed after calling Israel 'death cult,' highlighting growing US dissent

Tehran Times

TEHRAN – The Pentagon has removed Colonel Nathan McCormack from his sensitive advisory role after his scathing criticism of the Israeli regime, including labeling it a "death cult" and questioning if the United States acts as its proxy.

McCormack served as the Levant and Egypt branch chief within the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s J5 planning directorate, a position he assumed in June 2024, tasked with preparing senior U.S. military leadership for engagements with partner nations, including the Israeli regime.

Operating a semi-anonymous social media account under the name "Nate," McCormack posted extensively about his views, particularly following the events of October 7th, 2023.

A Department of Defense Joint Staff official confirmed McCormack's removal, stating his posts "do not reflect the position of the Joint Staff or the Department of Defense."

The matter has been referred to the U.S. Army for further action, and McCormack's social media account has since been deleted.

The colonel's posts, documented prior to deletion, were sharply critical of Israeli policy and U.S. support.

In April 2024, he questioned the fundamental nature of the U.S.-Israel relationship, posting, "I’ve lately been considering whether we might be Israel’s proxy and not realized it yet," adding, "Our worst ‘ally.’ We get literally nothing out of the ‘partnership’ other than the enmity of millions of people in the Middle East [West Asia], Africa and Asia."

By May, he said "Netanyahu and his Judeo-supremacist cronies" have prolonged conflict for their own political or territorial goals.

His criticism extended to the regime’s military actions.

McCormack asserted that Israel's responses "always (always—not hyperbole) disproportionately target Palestinian civilians."

He also wrote that Israel's goal was "cleanse" ‘Eretz Israel’ of ethnic Palestinians.

Furthermore, McCormack disclosed operational details, alleging that U.S. warnings to Israel about the risks of invading Lebanon were ignored, and stated that the U.S. Department of Defense, along with other agencies, considered the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry's casualty figures "generally reliable."

Colonel McCormack's dismissal, however, is not an isolated incident but a symptom of a widening rift within American society and political circles.

A growing segment of the American public, weary of vast financial and military resources being expended in support of Israeli actions, voices opposition to policies perceived as sacrificing U.S. interests and lives for another regime's agenda.

This sentiment is increasingly reflected in polling data showing significant American opposition to unconditional military aid and direct involvement in conflicts initiated by Israel, particularly concerning potential aggression against Iran.

A recent YouGov poll found that only 16% of Americans support U.S. military involvement in a conflict with Iran, highlighting the overwhelmingly low level of backing for such action.

Prominent media figures amplify this dissent. Influential commentator Tucker Carlson has repeatedly condemned U.S. policy, labelling the nation "complicit" in Israeli aggression against Iran in his widely-read newsletter.

Carlson recently highlighted the lack of informed debate, exposing Senator Ted Cruz's ignorance during an exchange.

When Carlson asked the neoconservative Senator seeking regime change in Iran, "How many people live in Iran?", Cruz admitted, "I don't know the population." Carlson retorted, "You don't know the population of the country you seek to topple?" before revealing it is 92 million.

History lesson: NATO going global

The 2025 NATO Summit will be held at the World Forum in The Hague, the Netherlands, from 24 to 26 June 2025

One of the pre-conditions for Soviet support for the reunification of East & West Germany was the promise from the US that NATO would not expand 'one centimeter' toward the Russian borders.  The Soviet Union's Warsaw Pact alliance folded after its collapse thus making no need for NATO. Instead since those days NATO has been on steroids and is now working to become a global alliance.

The US rejects that any promise to Russia was made not to expand NATO - hardly a surprise.  Just ask Native Americans about promises from the Great White Father in Washington.

In 2017 The National Interest reported:

Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev was given a host of assurances that the NATO alliance would not expand past what was then the East German border in 1990 according to new declassified documents.

Russian leaders often complain that NATO extended an invitation to Hungary, Poland and what was then Czechoslovakia to join the alliance in 1997 at the Madrid Summit in contravention of assurances offered to the Soviet Union before its 1991 collapse. The alliance has dismissed the notion that such assurances were offered, however, scholars have continued to debate the issue for years. Now, however, newly declassified documents show that Gorbachev did in fact receive assurances that NATO would not expand past East Germany.

“The documents show that multiple national leaders were considering and rejecting Central and Eastern European membership in NATO as of early 1990 and through 1991,” George Washington University National Security Archives researchers Svetlana Savranskaya and Tom Blanton wrote. “That discussions of NATO in the context of German unification negotiations in 1990 were not at all narrowly limited to the status of East German territory, and that subsequent Soviet and Russian complaints about being misled about NATO expansion were founded in written contemporaneous memcons and telcons at the highest levels.”

But why would the US & NATO continue to deny that promises had been made about NATO expansion? What is the purpose today of NATO moving into the Asia-Pacific as it signs up nations like Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia and more as 'NATO Partners'.

The United Nations monopoly on the use of force, especially as specified in Article 51 of the Charter, is no longer accepted under NATO's new aggressive doctrine. That new NATO doctrine calls for NATO's territorial scope, originally limited to the Euro-Atlantic region, to be expanded to encompass the whole world.

NATO wishes to cut out Russia and China (both serve on the UN's Security Council and have the power to veto UN military operations) in order to give Washington and Brussels (where NATO is headquartered) the power to intervene in any part of the world without restriction - mostly for 'regime change' operations.  Thus NATO's real goal is to replace the United Nations with a non-democratic tool under full corporate control.

In essence NATO becomes Mr. Big's Army which could run the world on behalf of corporate interests.

Long-time NATO analyst Rick Rozoff writes:

The first indication that the United Nations was marked for marginalization, selective application (and exploitation) or even de facto dissolution, however, occurred .... in 1996 when the United States single-handedly browbeat the other fourteen then members of the Security Council to depose Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali and replace him with Kofi Annan, who the preceding year had been appointed UN special envoy to NATO and authorized the NATO bombing in Bosnia behind the back of Boutros-Ghali.

Boutros-Ghali was deprived of the traditional second term for not authorizing NATO’s bombing of Bosnian Serb targets in 1995 and for speaking the truth about the deadly Israeli bombing of a refugee camp in Qana, Lebanon in the following year when 106 civilians were killed and 116 injured.

As former Clinton and Bush administrations’ National Security Council counter-terrorism adviser Richard Clarke acknowledged:

“[Madeleine] Albright and I and a handful of others (Michael Sheehan, Jamie Rubin) had entered into a pact together in 1996 to oust Boutros-Ghali as Secretary General of the United Nations, a secret plan we had called Operation Orient Express, reflecting our hope that many nations would join us in doing in the UN head.

“In the end, the US had to do it alone (with its UN veto) and Sheehan and I had to prevent the President from giving in to pressure from world leaders and extending Boutros-Ghali’s tenure, often by our racing to the Oval Office when we were alerted that a head of state was telephoning the President. In the end Clinton was impressed that we had managed not only to oust Boutros-Ghali but to have Kofi Annan selected to replace him.”
Russian response

The Russians and Chinese (among others) are not at all willing to allow this power grab by NATO. Unfortunately most Americans know little to nothing about this plan for global domination by the 'Atlantic  Alliance'.  The corporate dominated media in the US hides the real agenda from the public.

RT reported in 2011:

Despite attempts by individual politicians to assign international functions to NATO, the Western military bloc will never replace the UN, says Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who [was] in New York for the 66th UN General Assembly Session.

"NATO – or to be more exact, some of its representatives – has been attempting to assume the role the UN plays since the 1990s,” Lavrov said in an interview.... The Russian Foreign Minister said this behavior continued “until the 2003 invasion of Iraq, when Germany and France did not support their NATO allies.” At this point in history, Lavrov said, NATO was forced to acknowledge that “the international community does not recognize its operations as legitimate if they are not approved by the UN Security Council.”

But Washington and Brussels don't intend to fold their militaristic tent so easily.  Thus we saw their illegal regime change operation in Libya, their long war on Syria, Afghanistan and Israel's current war on Palestine. All involving NATO directly or indirectly.

We see the attempts to pull NATO members and partners into the encirclement of China. And we witness the pressure (from Republican and Democrat administrations in Washington) to force NATO members to pay larger annual appropriations for alliance operations.

The United Nations and NATO are distinctly different organizations.  The UN's role is to keep the peace and to promote human development.  NATO is simply a war machine.

It is time for NATO (which has no true reason to exist) to close up shop. It is time for the peace movements across the west to demand that NATO pass on like the Soviet-era Warsaw Pact did.

US sends war ships with interceptors to aid Netanyahu

The United States Navy has deployed five destroyers outfitted with so-called 'SM-3 missile defense interceptors' off the coast of Israel to help intercept Iranian ballistic missiles.

This is alongside the many systems Israel already uses to defend itself, including David Sling, Arrow-2 and Arrow-3, Iron Beam and Iron Dome, as well as Sa'ar-6 vessels and fighter jets.

In addition US has sent ground-based interceptors THAAD and Patriot to help Israel.

Iran is now effectively up against more than 10 separate layers of Israeli and US missile defenses.

So far Iran appears to be getting around these systems quite frequently.

Israel has already received 14 weapons shipments from US and Germany since start of Iran war. Saudi Arabia is sending military equipment as well. Likely many other western nations doing the same as well.

All of this is punching a huge hole in both US and Israeli military budgets.

Trump says he is thinking about attacking Iran but in fact he's already sending the US military into harms way.

Seymour Hersh on Trump's Iran war plan

WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD IS COMING IN IRAN
The initial battle plan for a new war

By Seymour Hersh (Award winning journalist)

This is a report on what is most likely to happen in Iran, as early as this weekend, according to Israeli insiders and American officials I’ve relied upon for decades. It will entail heavy American bombing. I have vetted this report with a longtime US official in Washington, who told me that all will be “under control” if Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei “departs.” Just how that might happen, short of his assassination, is not known. There has been a great deal of talk about American firepower and targets inside Iran, but little practical thinking, as far I can tell, about how to remove a revered religious leader with an enormous following.

I have reported from afar on the nuclear and foreign policy of Israel for decades. My 1991 book The Samson Option told the story of the making of the Israeli nuclear bomb and America’s willingness to keep the project secret. The most important unanswered question about the current situation will be the response of the world, including that of Vladimir Putin, the Russian president who has been an ally of Iran’s leaders.

The United States remains Israel’s most important ally, although many here and around the world abhor Israel’s continuing murderous war in Gaza. The Trump administration is in full support of Israel’s current plan to rid Iran of any trace of a nuclear weapons program while hoping the ayatollah-led government in Tehran will be overthrown.

I have been told that the White House has signed off on an all-out bombing campaign in Iran, but the ultimate targets, the centrifuges buried at least eighty meters below the surface at Fordow, will, as of this writing, not be struck until the weekend. The delay has come at Trump’s insistence because the president wants the shock of the bombing to be diminished as much as possible by the opening of Wall Street trading on Monday. (Trump took issue on social media this morning with a Wall Street Journal report that said he had decided on the attack on Iran, writing that he had yet to decide on a path forward.)

Fordow is home to the remaining majority of Iran’s most advanced centrifuges that have produced, according to recent reports of the International Atomic Energy Agency, to which Iran is a signatory, nine hundred pounds of uranium enriched to 60 percent, a short step from weapons-grade levels.

The most recent Israeli bombing attacks on Iran have made no attempts to destroy the centrifuges at Fordow, which are stored at least eighty meters underground. It has been agreed, as of Wednesday, that US bombers carrying bunker bombs capable of penetrating to that depth, will begin attacking the Fordow facility this weekend.

The delay will give US military assets throughout the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean—there are more than two dozen US Air Force bases and Navy ports in the region—a chance to prepare for possible Iranian retaliation. The assumption is that Iran still has some missile and air force capability that will be on US bombing lists. “This is a chance to do away with this regime once and for all,” an informed official told me today, “and so we might as well go big.” He said, however, “that it will not be carpet bombing.”

The planned weekend bombing will also have new targets: the bases of the Republican Guards, which have countered those campaigning against the revolutionary leadership since the violent overthrow of the shah of Iran in early 1979.

The Israeli leadership under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hopes that the bombings will provide “the means of creating an uprising” against Iran’s current regime, which has shown little tolerance for those who defy the religious leadership and its edicts. Iranian police stations will be struck. Government offices that house files on suspected dissenters in Iran will also be attacked.

The Israelis apparently also hope, so I gather, that Khamenei will flee the country and not make a stand until the end. I was told that his personal plane left Tehran airport headed for Oman early Wednesday morning, accompanied by two fighter planes, but it is not known whether he was aboard.

Only two thirds of Iran’s population of 90 million are Persians. The largest minority groups include Azeris, many of whom have long-standing covert ties to the Central Intelligence Agency, Kurds, Arabs, and Baluchis. Jews make up a small minority group there, too. (Azerbaijan is the site of a large secret CIA base for operations in Iran.)

Bringing back the shah’s son, now living in exile near Washington, has never been considered by the American and Israeli planners, I was told. But there has been talk among the White House planning group that includes Vice President J.D. Vance, of installing a moderate religious leader to run the country if Khamenei is deposed. The Israelis bitterly objected to the idea. “They don’t give a shit on the religious issue, but demand a political puppet to control,” the longtime US official said. “We are split with the Izzies on this. Result would be permanent hostility and future conflict in perpetuity, Bibi desperately trying to draw US in as their ally against all things Muslim, using the plight of the citizens as propaganda bait.”

There is the hope in the American and Israeli intelligence communities, I was told, that elements of the Azeri community will join in a popular revolt against the ruling regime, should one develop during the continued Israeli bombing. There also is the thought that some members of the Revolutionary Guard would join in what I was told might be “a democratic uprising against the ayatollahs”—a long-held aspiration of the US government. The sudden and successful overthrow of Bashar al-Assad in Syria was cited as a potential model, although Assad’s demise came after a long civil war.

It is possible that the result of the massive Israeli and US bombing attack could leave Iran in a state of permanent failure, as happened after the Western intervention in Libya in 2011. That revolt resulted in the brutal murder of Muammar Gaddafi, who had kept the disparate tribes there under control. The futures of Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon, all victims of repeated outside attacks, are far from settled.

Donald Trump clearly wants an international win he can market. To accomplish that, he and Netanyahu are taking America to places it has never been.

Malaysian Coalition Prepares 1,000 Ship Flotilla to Break Israeli Siege on Gaza

Malaysian civil society organisations have unveiled plans for an international “Thousand Ship Flotilla,” with vessels across continents joining forces to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza.

Announced at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur by Azmi Abdul Hamid, head of the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisations (MAPIM), the campaign is described as a response to Israel’s escalating military aggression and genocidal crimes in Gaza.

The organisation said the 1,000-ship flotilla has been launched “to mobilise an unprecedented international civil fleet to challenge the maritime blockade and deliver life-saving aid directly to the besieged people of Gaza.”

It cited the Israeli seizure of the aid ship Madleen as a trigger for a renewed push, and said the new flotilla would surpass the scale and organisation of the 2010 Mavi Marmara mission. Coordination is reportedly underway with groups in Europe, Asia, and Latin America, with what it calls “unprecedented support.”

Retired Israeli general warns of catastrophic consequences if Iran's plans succeed

Tehran Times

TEHRAN - Retired General Yitzhak Brik, former senior officer in the Israeli military, issued a stark warning on the dangers Israel faces if Iran’s strategic objectives come to fruition.

In his comments, Brik suggested that Israel could find itself at risk of complete paralysis across its economic, military, commercial, and air operations.

His remarks point to the recurring nature of Israel’s military encounters and the uncertainty of their outcomes.

Brik, reflecting on the historical patterns of Israeli military engagements, emphasized that, “In all past conflicts, Israel initiates with great strength but ultimately ends up with a ceasefire or an agreement; this repetitive cycle still continues.”

The retired general further stressed that a war with Iran could be the most perilous Israel has ever faced, citing Iran’s expanding missile arsenal and its growing nuclear capabilities. He noted that the scale of these threats would require unprecedented countermeasures.

Addressing Israel's defense capabilities, Brik warned that the cost of intercepting each Iranian missile is as high as $7 million. This, he said, places a significant strain on Israel's defense reserves, which are ill-equipped to sustain a prolonged response to such an extensive missile capability.

"Iran’s plan is to first deplete our air defense systems with a broad missile strike," Brik explained. "Following that, they will launch a relentless second wave of heavy missiles to deliver deadly blows to critical Israeli infrastructure."

Brik also expressed doubts regarding the effectiveness of U.S. support in shifting the balance of power. “Even Washington doesn’t believe in a military solution to Iran’s nuclear issue,” he stated. “Therefore, American aid will not guarantee a change in the equation.”

In a pointed critique of the Netanyahu government, Brik accused the Israeli leadership of ignoring the vulnerability of the home front. He compared the government’s attitude to that of the proverbial three wise monkeys (see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil), suggesting that Israel's leadership is failing to recognize the real threats facing its civilian population.

Concluding his remarks, Brik warned that a war with Iran could result not only in economic collapse but also in the crippling of Israel’s airports and seaports, potentially rendering the Israeli military's war machine inoperable.

U.S. citizens say NO to war with Iran

By Iranian Khayal Muazzin journalist

  • Israeli warplanes can no longer land or refuel in occupied territory as Iranian missiles have knocked out airbases across the Zionist entity.
  • In addition, aviation fuel depots and an oil refinery in Haifa were destroyed, meaning the Israeli Air Force can no longer operate from "Israeli" territory.
  • Thus, fighter-bombers attacking Iran take off from air bases in Jordan, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and possibly Saudi Arabia.
  • In addition, the Israeli terrorist planes were only able to strike targets in the west and northwest of Iran, as they cannot penetrate Iranian airspace due to effective air defenses that have already shot down 4 F-35s, 4 UAVs and possibly one F-16.
  • This will be proven once again when they broadcast a captured pilot who will tell exactly where they were operating from.  Not to mention the dwindling number of interceptors, which are estimated to last another two weeks at best.
  • Only 5 days have passed, and the terrorist organization "Israel" is retreating, suffering serious defeats and losing all opportunities.

Lowkey on the Arab/Muslim 'grand betrayal' of Palestine & Iran

LowKey reviews all the Arab nations that are complicit with Israeli attacks on Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran.

They might make some statements about how Israel should not have bombed Iran but when you dig below the surface you learn how many of these nations are assisting Israel and the US in the attacks on Iran.

The Arab/Muslim nations that Lowkey mentions include Syria (with ISIS leading it now), Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, and Pakistan.

Lowkey calls all of this a 'grand betrayal' to the Palestinian people.

He asks what have these governments done to aid the starving people of Gaza?

Italy and Germany on the war front

By Manlio Dinucci (Grandangolo on Byoblu TV, Italy)

Italy and Germany are at war not only against Russia in support of Ukraine, but also against Iran in support of Israel. This is demonstrated by documented facts. These facts are ignored by the political-media mainstream. They are exposed in this episode of Grandangolo. The episode was recorded on 12 June, it predicted the imminent attack on Iran that Israel launched a few hours later. This attack took place on the night of 12-13 June.

The Italian B350ER aircraft - a new-generation aircraft for espionage, target recognition, and communication operations - operates in the Black Sea together with similar US aircraft to spy on Russian territory and assist Ukrainian forces to strike Russian targets with unmanned drones and explosive vessels. Italy is thus not only supplying weapons to Kiyv but is actively participating in this and other ways in the NATO war against Russia.

Even more direct is Germany's participation in the war: it has permanently stationed a 5,000-strong Bundeswehr brigade in Lithuania, equipped with 2,000 tanks and other military vehicles. “With this combat-ready brigade,” states German Defence Minister Pistorius, “we are taking on a leadership responsibility within the Alliance here on NATO's Eastern Flank”.

Thus, NATO has deployed its forces on the borders with Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast and Russia's ally Belarus. At the same time, two other NATO countries — the United Kingdom and Canada — are deploying their forces in Estonia and Latvia, which also border Russia. These forces are like a candle lit in a powder keg.

According to Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty, if NATO forces suffer losses in a clash with Russian forces on the border, all other NATO countries would have to intervene on their side against Russia. The Trump Administration's role is becoming increasingly equivocal, as it states that it wants to agree with Russia on a diplomatic solution to end the war. Yet, it is helping Ukraine to continue the war against Russia, either directly through military operations such as those in the Black Sea, or indirectly through NATO, which, under US command, is bringing its military forces ever closer to Russia.

As part of the same strategy, Germany and Italy play a significant role in supporting Israel in the Middle East. After the USA, Germany is the second-largest supplier of weapons to Israel.

So far, Israel has received six Dolphin-class submarines from Germany, manufactured by ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems. These submarines have been modified to launch nuclear attack missiles. According to an agreement in 2022, Germany will supply Israel with three more Drakon-class submarines, which are larger than the previous models and can launch even more powerful nuclear missiles.

Israel is the only country in the Middle East that possesses nuclear weapons, and, as it has not joined the Non-Proliferation Treaty, it is not subject to any control. Iran, having joined the Non-Proliferation Treaty, has civil nuclear facilities that are subject to UN Atomic Energy Agency controls.
