Colonel Douglas Macgregor, former Senior Advisor to Secretary of Defense under President Trump, warned that the conflict between Iran, Israel and the United States has become an emergency for India.
He said India's $500 million investment in Chabahar is at risk and oil routes could be blocked, affecting 2.6 million barrels of oil flowing through the Strait of Hormuz daily to Indian ports.
Macgregor stated that Iran has struck American bases across the region, rendering them unusable. He said the United States lacks sufficient missiles and logistics for a prolonged war.
Macgregor claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pushed President Trump into this war, stating, 'Netanyahu has more influence in Washington, where essentially the Israel lobby has purchased the Congress and the White House.'
He suggested Iran would endure and survive the conflict, and called for India to play a bridging role in the crisis.
