Witness Against Empire (Ken Jones & Melody Shank from Asheville, North Carolina) interviewed Lisa Savage and Bruce Gagnon about their five year campaign to organize monthly foreign policy protests at busy intersections all over Maine.
They displayed photos from the protests which are held up and down the state of Maine - in small and large communities.
Their goal is to show solidarity with local activists who often have very few people to hold a protest with and to address the many current war$ the US is involved in at that particular time.
They shared that in 2022, when they first began this effort, they got about 40% positive responses from the public driving past them. These days they said the positives tend to be around 70%.
Ken and Melody who hold weekly bridge protests in Ashevile, said they get about the same percentage of positives these days as well.
