Rahm Emanuel is an American politician who served as an adviser to Pres. Bill Clinton (1993–99) before being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives (2003–09). He later was chief of staff (2009–10) to Pres. Barack Obama, mayor of Chicago (2011–19), and U.S. ambassador to Japan (2021–25).
It is frequently rumored that Rahm Emanuel intends to run for the Democrat Party nomination for president in the 2028 national election.
