The US wants control of the Arctic region as climate change melts the ice. Major resource extraction corporations want to own that process. Russia though has the largest border, thus the reasons for NATO's desire to break Russia up into smaller nations giving the west a greater chance of getting its foot in the door.
Allegedly the Danes boosted Greenland's security by adding another dog sled unit, which is making the orange man very upset. (It's been told that Trump was very angry at Maduro dancing with the people in Caracas recently.)
US-NATO have been war gaming in the Arctic for years. The Navy also has done submarine missions under the ice to map out an attack plan against Russia.
The US-NATO proxy war in Ukraine was largely designed to weaken Russia in order for the western Arctic region control plan to move forward.
We are witnessing the US imperialist attempted grab for the #1 oil producer nation in Venezuela. Add to that the US demand for Greenland which would enable Trump and his fellow pirates to make a strategic land claim in the Arctic as a forward operating base for war against Russia.
Does Trump really want to end the war in Ukraine? I don't think so. Long ago during the Iraq war of 2003, the Pentagon declared America's role in the world will be 'Security Export'. That means the job of the 'rogue cop' on behalf of zionist/neo-con control of the world.
America is the fascist security guard for international capitalist interests. Much of the EU has taken on a similar role. So the war in Ukraine boosts the war machine profit$ and serves to keep the destruction going. Ultimately bleeding Russia. Mr. Big does not care about casualties in that war. The longer it continues, the better.

In a telephone interview this morning, President Donald Trump issued a not-so-veiled threat against the new Venezuelan leader, Delcy Rodríguez, saying that “if she doesn’t do what’s right, she is going to pay a very big price, probably bigger than Maduro,” referring to Nicolás Maduro, now residing in a New York City jail cell. Trump made clear that he would not stand for Rodríguez’s defiant rejection of the armed U.S. intervention that resulted in Maduro’s capture.
During our call, Trump, who had just arrived at his golf club in West Palm Beach, was in evident good spirits, and reaffirmed to me that Venezuela may not be the last country subject to American intervention. “We do need Greenland, absolutely,” he said, describing the island—a part of Denmark, a NATO ally—as “surrounded by Russian and Chinese ships.” And in discussing Venezuela’s future, he signaled a clear shift away from his previous distaste for regime change and nation building, rejecting the concerns of many in his MAGA base. “You know, rebuilding there and regime change, anything you want to call it, is better than what you have right now. Can’t get any worse,” he said.
