Sachs talks alot of sense. He supported Jill Stein for president in the last election.
He was recently interviewed by Tucker Carlson for more than an hour and was very thorough.
Some
in Russia don't trust him because of his time there during the
Soviet Union collapse. He was one of the 'Harvard boys' along with the
'Chicago boys' that were sent to Russia to privatize as much of the
economy as possible under Yeltsin.
I've heard Sachs talk about
trying to get western financial support for Russia as they hit the
skids after breakup of Soviet Union - he reports the US western allies gave
nothing.
I've not heard Sachs say that the privatization of the Russian
economy was a bad or good thing.
It was not our place to force privatization and then the defeat of the Communist party (due to Bill Clinton's direct intervention in the 1996 election) but of course
this was all part of western goal to dismantle not just the Soviet Union, but also
Russia itself.
Then Putin came along and stabilized things and saved Russia.
