Importance of 'Keep Space for Peace Week'

Keep Space for Peace Week is organized each year by the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space.

This year space week will be held October 3-10. During that time we ask groups and concerned citizens of the global community to organize events and share information about the growing dangers of the US program to 'control and dominate space and to deny others the use of space'. This was all spelled out in the US Space Command document called Vision for 2020.

Various activities could be held during the week. Educational forums, protest events outside military bases, military weapons production sites, various government installations and along busy streets.

The public must be informed about the growing costs of preparation for war in space that would result in the theft of taxpayer monies (trillions of dollars) that could otherwise be used for health care, education, environmental care, public transportation, infrastructure repair and more.

Many nations are now falling into the trap of investing in this 'pie in the sky' dream of mining the sky for precious resource extraction on the planetary bodies. Elon Musk wants to mine Mars for magnesium, cobalt, uranium and other minerals. On the Moon there is helium-3 and water that attracts many greedy 'investors'. Gold is promised on the asteroids.

With each polluting rocket launch a larger hole is punched in the Earth's ozone layer that keeps life on our fragile planet from burning up. Also Lower Earth Orbit (LEO) is now getting so crowded with satellites that scientists fear cascading collisions (called the Kessler Syndrome) will occur making it virtually impossible to get a rocket off our planet thru that space mine field.

A look back: Space Weapons Media Briefing Trip

I wrote this article for the blog on May 18, 2005. It covers an important space issues meeting with media and 'tech experts' which I attended and wanted to re-share. (Art work by my now passed-away dear Florida friend and long-time collaborator Bill Park.)

I have just returned from a two-day trip to northern Virginia where I attended, along with Global Network board member Loring Wirbel from Colorado Springs, an event organized by Dr. Helen Caldicott called Full Spectrum Dominance.

Helen's Nuclear Policy Research Institute gathered key media representatives from news outlets like CNN, NBC, Space News, Reuters, Financial Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Defense Daily, Washington Post, Cape Cod Times, Toronto Globe & Mail, UPI and others, to hear the two-day briefing from scientists, policy makers, space strategists and activists. The event took place at a conference center in a beautiful rural setting where 25 briefers sat down with the 45 members of the media to discuss the latest developments in military space issues.

The event began with Gen. Charles Horner, retired former commander of the U.S. Space Command. He described his career as one of "destroying things and killing people" and told the assembled that the Pentagon does not "want to talk about space control because they are afraid of groups like you that will be protesting in the streets." He went on to defend plans for missile defense by saying that "ones [nukes] that we shoot down are going to fall on Canada" rather than the U.S.

Since World War II over $130 billion has been wasted on research and development (R & D) for the Star Wars program. The Pentagon's Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is now spending about $10 billion a year on space weapons R & D. The George W. Bush administration is expected to announce its new national space policy sometime in June and the New York Times reported on May 18 that the new directive will likely include language giving the Pentagon the green light to move forward with offensive technologies for military space control and domination.

Dr. Richard Garwin, Senior Fellow for Science and Technology at the Council on Foreign Relations, talked about the benefits of U.S. military control of space and said "It would be a disaster for U.S. military capability to lose our current military space resources." It was commonly agreed that the U.S. today has sole military control of space and that current Pentagon military satellites give the U.S. military the ability to wage war onto the Earth with unrivaled power. Peter Hayes, former Air Force officer, reported that nearly 70% of the weapons used in the recent U.S. "shock and awe" invasion of Iraq were guided to their targets by space satellites. Thus, he maintained, the U.S. must control the space medium.

As the public becomes more aware of U.S. plans for space dominance, the military seeks to water down some of its previously provocative language. One example is replacing the word "deployment" with the phrase "test-bedding" when describing new space weapons technologies. This will make it harder for Congress to vote against a particular program because it is sold as a benign R & D effort.

Even some people that you would consider "peace activists" support the notion of U.S. space control. Mike Moore, former Editor of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, stated he was "in favor of full spectrum dominance," but urged the U.S. not to reject the notion of treaties that could bring stability to space. Moore, and others from traditional "arms control" organizations, argued that using weapons in space would create larger space debris problems for the Pentagon, thus putting existing U.S. military space assets in jeopardy. One representative of an arms control group seemed to imply that using "reversible" anti-satellite weapons (that only temporarily blind an opponent's satellite) might be more acceptable as they leave an attacked satellite intact but inoperable, thus eliminating the debris problem.

Much time was spent debating the merits of missile defense. Will it work or not? Can a bullet hit a bullet in space or is the technology incapable of ever working? Ted Postol, Professor of Science, Technology, and National Security at MIT offered strong evidence that the missile defense "kill vehicle" could never discriminate effectively between actual warheads and dummies thus enabling any attacking nation the ability to overwhelm the system. During one back-and-forth debate on this issue (what I call "inside baseball") several arms control advocates responded to a question from missile defense proponents saying they would support the program if indeed it would work.

One program offered by many as an alternative to an unworkable national missile defense system (whose job would be to protect the continental U.S. from attack) is to build a Theatre Missile Defense (TMD), or boost-phase defense system that would have a "better chance" of performing the desired result of destroying a launched "enemy" missile. This could be done by deploying TMD systems near North Korea (who today has zero nuclear weapons capable of hitting the North American continent) and "taking out" their missiles soon after launch. Dr. Hui Zhang, a Chinese scientist now studying at Harvard University, reminded the audience that China views TMD systems as highly destabilizing and believes they are intended to negate China's current deterrent stock of 20 nuclear missiles. TMD deployments by the U.S., on Aegis destroyers, are planned in Japan, South Korea and possibly Taiwan. China has responded that TMD deployments, as well as other U.S. moves to "deny" space access to potential enemies, could force them to build more nuclear missiles.

Dr. Everrett Dolman, Professor of Military Studies at the Air Force School of Advanced Air and Space Studies at Maxwell AFB in Alabama, emphatically stated that the U.S. "will not give up its right to use force as long as it is the hegemon." Formerly on active duty in the Air Force, Dolman began his career as an intelligence analyst for the National Security Agency, and later moved to the U.S. Space Command. At one point, during a discussion about the need for a new international space treaty to prevent an arms race in space, Dolman responded derisively, "Mice always vote to bell the cat."

One of the "mice" in the meeting was Vladimir Yermakov, Senior Councellor at the Russian Embassy in Washington. (He was closely watched by an FBI agent who monitored every move he made while he was at the event.) Yermakov stated that Russia has sworn off first-deployment of weapons in space. In reference to Russia's strong support for a new, expansive space weapons treaty he said, "We fail to understand the position of the U.S. in this matter. We ask what is wrong with our approach and get no answer." He refers to the U.S. refusal to negotiate a new space treaty. The official position of the U.S., during both the Clinton and Bush administrations, has been that there is no problem and thus no need for a new treaty banning weapons in space.

On the second day of the event Loring Wirbel and I had a chance to make presentations to the assembly. Loring went first and did a fabulous job of describing how space technology today is used to coordinate virtually all warfare on Earth. He began by challenging the tendency of some "arms control groups" to offer compromises on the space weapons issue, stating they needed to strengthen themselves by developing some "outside the beltway thinking." (Loring is a long-time member of the Colorado Springs-based group Citizens for Peace in Space that was a founding member of the Global Network. He makes his living as an editorial director of a high-tech magazine and is an effective spokesman for the peace movement position that allowing a "little bit" of space weaponization will lead to more and more of it over time, thus creating the eventual spark for a dangerous new arms race.) Loring estimated that about $70 billion a year is spent on "military space" development once you factor in the combined space budgets of the MDA, the National Reconnaissance Office, the National Security Administration, NASA, and the Department of Energy (now developing the nuclear rocket).

I began my presentation by referring to the heated debate over the question whether missile defense will work or not. I proposed to widen the discussion and suggested we look at Christopher Columbus and Spain. I reminded everyone how Queen Isabella began the 100-year process of building the Spanish Armada after Columbus' "successful" return voyage from the Americas. Spain's naval armada helped create the global war system that we suffer from today, as soon thereafter all the European powers were building navies to "compete" for control and domination of the sea lanes and new territories for resources and markets. I suggested we were now debating the size of the cannon balls on Spanish armada ships rather than discussing the long-term implications of creating a new arms race in the heavens. I talked about the long-range plan of the space command to build a military highway from the Earth out to the planetary bodies and showed the cover of the congressional study called Military Space Forces: The Next 50 Years. 

I suggested that "missile defense" was a Trojan horse that really didn't have to work -- it had already allowed the Pentagon and the aerospace industry to move tens of billions of dollars into research and development programs for space offensive warfare -- all the while hyping up North Korea's "puny" missile capability. 

I talked about the mission of the Global Network to create an international citizens constituency to stop an arms race in space, and detailed the efforts of our affiliated groups across the U.S. and around the world. I shared how TMD deeply concerns our members in Japan and South Korea because they understand how this program will be a provocation to China and destabilize the Asian-Pacific region. Could it be, I asked, this is what the weapons industry really wants? A new arms race partner in China?

I concluded with several solutions. I suggested that America is addicted to war and violence and local economies in the U.S. are addicted to military spending. I suggested that people want jobs, and that both Democrats and Republicans are not addressing the issue because both parties are committed to massive military spending. I called for the defunding of all space weapons R & D (something that many of the "arms control groups" will not say), and suggested our hard-earned tax dollars should be used to develop alternative sustainable technological development in a much needed conversion of the military-industrial complex. I urged religious leaders to raise the moral and ethical questions about war in the heavens and I called for more public debate about the legal question on the ownership of space as aerospace corporations make a move to grab planetary bodies for eventual "resource extraction."

I ended my presentation by quoting NASA's new director, Mike Griffin, who appeared before a Senate committee on May 12. Griffin, who worked on Ronald Reagan's SDI program in the 1980's, told Congress, "For America to continue to be preeminent among nations, it is necessary for us to be the preeminent spacefaring nation." I told the assembled room of journalists and space enthusiasts that just as nuclear weapons are today unacceptable, so too is the philosophy outlined by Mike Griffin.

Helen Caldicott took the floor after I finished and reminded us all, as she so powerfully does in these moments, that our planet is in the intensive care unit and that we must change our way of thinking if we are to save life for the future generations. She underscored that we cannot continue to play the little boys game of tit-for-tat that was so evident among many at this unique gathering.

It was an honor to have been invited to attend this event and I came away convinced that our work to keep space for peace is more important now than ever. We must step up our efforts and ensure that when Bush releases his new space policy directive in June, that it is met with a resounding global chorus that says we will not allow this plan for space warfare to go forward. We must raise our voices now.

US Flaunts On-Orbit Weapon to Supercharge Space Arms Race

 

Reports of a US-deployed “on-orbit” weapon confirm that the West has already turned outer space into an extension of the Ukraine battlefield, air defense historian Yuri Knutov reported to Sputnik.

US and French reconnaissance satellites are already feeding battlefield intel to Ukraine’s military, with Finland about to join in, reminds the military expert, and Poland plans to deploy its own reconnaissance satellites.

Other countries are developing “inspector” spacecraft built to maneuver close to other satellites to spy on them.

Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite communications and broadband systems are used in space - and guide Ukraine’s drones.

It is fair to say that “an arms race in space is already underway,” says the pundit, and the US space weapons claim seeks to accelerate this orbital race further.

The next step after the US Golden Dome may be the deployment of American missiles and laser weapons beyond Earth, military expert Alexei Leonkov told Sputnik.

Trump’s costly Golden Dome project, touted as a global missile defense system, fits into the same aggressive vision, the military expert pointed out.

• the ground-based tier is a system that has already been partially deployed, capable of intercepting ballistic missiles, including artificial Earth satellites in space
• it partly relies on the Aegis system, as well as advanced weapon systems employing new physical principles - electromagnetic guns (that fry spacecraft electronics) and combat lasers (potentially megawatt-class, but so far 300-kilowatt)
• space-based tier to feature satellites armed with space-to-space missiles capable of intercepting ballistic missiles and destroying enemy satellites, alongside space-based lasers

“The Americans appear to have already begun building out the space-based arsenal, judging by the US secretary of the Air Force’s remarks,” adds the expert. 

Breaking thru the confusion about Yemen

Yemen’s AnsarAllah have liberated the city of Al-Mokha and its port from Saudi Arabia. This is a very strategic city for Yemen, because it increases their authority over the Red Sea. 

With the advances made over recent days, the necessary groundwork has been laid for the complete clearing of Yemen's southwestern coast and the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait. 

The aerial and ground dominance of Yemeni armed forces over Yemen's western coast will prevent the Saudi coalition from expanding threats against maritime shipping and will pave the way for breaking the naval siege on Yemen. 

The way that Saudi Arabia and the UAE immigrant mercenaries [largely Sudanese] fled, it appears Yemen is winning. The Saudi 'royalists' sure aren't going to fight.   

The US and Israel have long also backed Saudi Arabia's 12-year war on Yemen’s indigenous AnsarAllah.

Far-right Argentine election meddling specialist Fernando Cerimedo was arrested in Bolivia after hiring hitmen to try to assassinate his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Nadia Beller. They failed, and she is now revealing the truth.

Cerimedo has deep links to the US government and Donald Trump's top allies, such as Marco Rubio. Cerimedo worked for many US-backed right-wing leaders in Latin America, including Argentina's Javier Milei, Bolivia's Rodrigo Paz, Brazil's Bolsonaro family, and Honduras' Nasry "Tito" Asfura. Cerimedo is now also being investigated for drug trafficking.

Pentagon's space 'control & domination' developments endanger Earth

The current 'space race' is having major impact on Earth's environment as increasing rocket launches are releasing highly toxic pollutants into the atmosphere and punching a bigger hole in the ozone layer that protects us all. • Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) called President Trump twice Thursday, urging him to launch strikes against the Houthis as the Iran-backed group closed in on a vital Red Sea chokepoint, two US officials told Axios. Trump declined. This latest offensive has brought a sweeping firestorm over West Asia particularly as it was coupled with an unprecedented strike on the Saudi Arabian East-West oil pipeline which was heralded as being the US and its allies’ key trump card in overcoming Iran’s blockade of Hormuz.  The US has confirmed that the Saudi East-West oil pipeline has been damaged. As a result, 7 million barrels of oil per day cannot be moved. This demonstrates that the Strait of Hormuz cannot be replaced. Everyone has assumed that it was the Houthis who hit the pipeline. CNN reported that it may have been an Iraqi resistance group that was behind the job, while Al Jazeera reports that Saudi Arabia has likewise confirmed this. Reuters writes that an Iraqi commander was dismissed after it was “confirmed” the drones came from Iraq. 

• Ansar Allah is cleaning house and slowly surrounding cities and areas where the Saudis are still embedded toward the East and on the Saudi/Yemeni border. These happen to be oil rich areas. Saudis called Iranian leaders and asked them to get the Yemeni’s to stop their attacks. Iran said in no uncertain terms ‘quit the Yemen blockade and quit your war – we do not speak for the Yemenis and we will not be your message carrier’. The sheer amount of US weaponry that Ansar Allah took from the Saudi mercenaries, displayed on countless photos and videos, is a great surprise for Americans. 
• Saudi Arabia is asking for a massive World Bank loan as their almost non-existent oil exports is now hurting, and Qatar is just about out of its ability to export LNG because of physical damage to plant. 

• Simplicius: What we are now apparently seeing is a coordinated campaign by Iran to put the final stranglehold on US and its allies. It cannot be mere coincidence that days after Iran had launched its largest attack on US assets in months and announced the wide expansion of its own blockade of Hormuz, suddenly its Houthi proxies have moved in to deal a crippling blow to the US axis. The Houthis have now reportedly captured the entire critical Bab al Mandab strait area of the Red Sea, giving a total chokehold to Iran and its proxies over a massive chunk of global shipping. Chief negotiator and spokesman Mohammed Abdusalam (Abdulsalam) stated: “There is no closure of Bab al-Mandab as some are suggesting…[it's  limited] to a maritime blockade that only affects the Saudi side.” 

• US Navy Secretary Hung Cao in an interview: ‘The Iranians blew the hell out of Bahrain. There is no place for the Navy to dock. We have a task force looking at whether to abandon the facility [NSA Bahrain].’ During Iran’s latest September 9 strikes on US’s Jordan air base a slew of US aircraft were in fact damaged in the attacks. One A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft was struck and lost a wing. Roughly eight F-15s sustained light damage. We know for a fact that more craft were damaged than they’re admitting to because photos of damaged helicopters being trucked out had already leaked. Now it’s clear Iran and its forces are gaining critical leverage and strategic initiative over the region. 

• Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told an Indian media outlet that an agreement between Iran and Oman on a joint route through the Strait of Hormuz will be signed on Monday in the presence of the foreign ministers of the Arab Gulf states and subsequently notified to the International Maritime Organization.

• Iran’s 123-megawatt G15 gas turbine unit at the Mobin Energy power plant, which had sustained significant damage during the 40-day war, has been fully brought back into operation. 

• US Energy Secretary: There are no plans for uranium enrichment in Saudi Arabia. The Saudis didn't get any help from Trump with Yemen. The Saudis barely have any oil exports because of Trump's war on Iran. The Saudis have no hope of getting F-35s. The Saudis have no hope of building out their own enrichment plants. The 'Mecca pact' abandoned MBS. Great reminder to all other nations that you’re all alone when push comes to shove. The US will abandon you. And paper agreements are worthless compared to complex geopolitical relations and power. Unless you’re ‘Israel’, you’re on your own. 
• Saudi Arabia has started to use their most powerful assets against Yemen. The Saudis purchased Chinese DF-15A missiles in the past.  

• In their joint declaration, BRICS summit (held in New Delhi) participants spoke out against unilateral sanctions that violate international law. BRICS also condemned the violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and called on Israel to withdraw its troops from its territory. Other key points: BRICS expressed deep concern over the US tightening unilateral blockade against Cuba and its adverse impact on the economy, energy supplies and humanitarian situation. It reaffirmed its commitment to combating all forms of terrorism. BRICS voiced alarm over deliberate attacks on peaceful facilities [in Iran] under IAEA safeguards. The group stressed the need to strengthen energy security. BRICS underscored the necessity of ensuring the peaceful use of space technologies.

• Parc Against Darc: The US Space Force has selected Lake Kickapoo, Texas, as the preferred location for the third and final site of the 'Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability', or DARC. The Texas installation will complete a network of three advanced ground-based space sensors located in Wales and Australia. Once fielded, the network is designed to provide continuous space domain awareness and uninterrupted, overlapping coverage of geostationary orbit. The DARC radars, as tall and wide as multi-story buildings, would cumulatively produce radiation so powerful that studies show the array would undoubtedly have the capacity to be unsafe for nearby human residential habitation. DARC, a space scanning system the US wants to use to identify and then attack other nations’ satellites in space, is not just the latest sabre-rattling project aimed at space expansionism which Washington is trying to palm Pembrokeshire, Wales off with. The destruction of 'enemy satellites' could easily lead to a deadly orbital chain reaction-induced cloud of space debris so huge it could prevent humanity from going back to space for potentially decades.                
• Stop the War Machine, Albuquerque, NM: Maven is a Palantir software perfected in the Israel colonial war on Palestine resulting in a techno genocide.  As we have had a recent focus on stopping the NDAA merger of Zionism with our Pentagon, it appears a real time integration has already taken place.  So who will be the targets for this advanced use of Maven?  Politically it will be aimed at anti-fascist, anti-ice, pro-democracy and movements for national sovereignty.  An important point is that the backbone for Maven are all the data centers being constructed worldwide and the satellites which link all this into what is a series of global kill chains integrated into AI systems like Claude.  So, a parallel full spectrum war for control, protection and who can use satellites is developing rapidly along side the ground wars. Human rights and needs should be the product of technology not more war and domination.

Protest along Hwy 1 with Maine summer traffic snarl

 

Yesterday 10 of our hard core monthly protest group gathered along US Hwy 1 in Wiscasset at one of the busiest summer traffic spots in Maine.

Over the course of our time at this major tourist lunch location literally thousands of people drove by us heading either north or south along Maine's coastal route.

The famous Red's Eats, one of the major tourist stops in the state, had a long line of people waiting to order their over priced lobster rolls. (Just for your info Red's is owned by the Gagnon family - no direct relation to me as far as I know.)

As the traffic crawled by us the numbers of peace signs, waves and honks was more than impressive. We even got some massive truck horn blasts.

It was a beautiful day in the mid 70's with a lovely breeze coming off the water. The only downside was the huge amount of chemtrails over our heads.

MB and I calculated that we got about 2% nasty middle fingers and yells in support of Trump. About 34% looked straight ahead as if they didn't see us. The remaining 64% enthusiastically gave us positive affirmations. (This was obviously not a scientific poll but we've done this enough to get a good feel for the numbers.)

We were last at this spot two years ago in another of our monthly protest vigils. At that time we had about 35 or more folks with us. 

The difference between then and now? At lunch together after we finished the protest it was pretty much unanimous that lots of people are either working on political campaigns for the coming November mid-term elections or they have given up as they see the endless wars on Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen, Ukraine-Russia, Sudan and more just drag on. Alot of people grow weary and/or just move on to other hot issues.

Sadly, its always been this way during my long career as an organizer. When wars first begin there always is a big protest surge and then as they continue on over the years with no resolution people lose heart and tend to fall out.

We live in America where we have a fast food culture. People want their social/political change NOW - like at the drive up window at McDonalds. But in the real world that's not how things really work.

There are many exciting close congressional races underway (especially for the US Senate) across the nation. The US Senate race in Maine is one of them. The Democrat (Troy Jackson) and Republican (incumbent Susan Collins) are neck-and-neck in the polls. But the truth is that most of the Democrats, while good on some social issues, say things like we must still help Ukraine and Israel 'defend' themselves. Many say they don't want to send 'offensive' weapons to Israel but want to send 'defensive' weapons. Most of them also say the same about Ukraine.

So in the end with a Dem party take over of Congress we won't see significant changes in military spending and war$. It was the Obama-Biden administration that started the war against Russia in 2014 using Ukraine as the hammer. The Dems in the leadership in Washington stand solidly by Israel.

With the oligarchs in control of Washington these days, spreading their cash around like it is Christmas, its hard to make a serious dent electorally.

My own reason for persisting with these protests is because I know the public is fed up and afraid - they are angry with the way things are - they do want change - but they have generally lost hope. 

By getting out on these busy Maine streets, full of summer tourist traffic from all over the country, we can show people they are not crazy and they are not alone. And the enthusiasm we witnessed today is evidence that they appreciated seeing us. Some walking past me thanked me for being there. And I thanked them back.

I was in the dentist chair in Gainesville, Florida when 9-11 happened. I never believed the "official story" and early on agreed to speak at conferences held in San Francisco and Toronto organized by the emerging 9-11 truth movement.

For two years after 9-11, at every talk I did anywhere in the U.S., people would ask what I thought about 9-11 during the question and answer period. It was clear to me that many people also had grave doubts about the "official line" about the 9-11 attacks, even if they were reluctant to say so in public.

I once went to listen to Dr. David Ray Griffin speak to nearly 100 people about the links between 9-11 and the war in Afghanistan. Griffin has written nine books on the subject and is a former professor at the Claremont (California) School of Theology.

Griffin began with a detailed review of the illegality of the U.S. attacks on Afghanistan following 9-11. He acknowledged that most American people are still unaware of the illegality of this war. And, he said, "Obama has taken over the Bush-Cheney account of 9-11" as witnessed in his West Point speech some time ago.

Griffin reminded us that the Bush administration was "prepared to bomb Afghanistan two months prior to 9-11." This was after the pipeline deal between Unocal and the Taliban had broken down. In July of 2001, in Berlin, the Bush team demanded that the Taliban agree to allow construction of pipelines to move Caspian Sea oil and natural gas through their country. They were told they could have either a "carpet of gold or a carpet of bombs."

Next Griffin reviewed the 9-11 Commission Report that admitted they had no success in gaining any evidence of Osama Bin-Ladin's involvement in 9-11." The FBI also acknowledged it had "no hard evidence" of his role either.

Griffin maintained that 9-11 was a "false flag operation" in order to create the political support for expanding U.S. bases in the Middle East and Central Asia, massive increases in military spending, and development of new war fighting technologies.

He spent considerable time documenting the controlled collapse of Building 7 which was not hit by planes on 9-11. Bldg 7 was 47 stories tall and only had fires on six floors. FEMA, Griffin said, has acknowledged it had no explanation for the collapse of Bldg 7.

In order for such a controlled collapse of Bldg 7, 82 steel columns had to fail simultaneously for such an implosion to occur. This was only possible with the use of explosives such as nano-thermite which is not commonly available. In order for iron to melt, the temperatures would have to reach at least 2,800 degrees and normal office fires at most reach 1,800 degrees.

Government reports suggested that "fires of office furniture" inside Bldg 7 caused the implosion. This is obviously ridiculous.

The organization Architects & Engineers for 9-11 Truth, made up of about 1,200 professionals, has done much work to debunk the mythology surrounding 9-11. They have repeatedly shown that steel frame buildings worldwide have never collapsed due to fires and that Bldg 7 could have only been brought down by high explosives. "Who would have the kind of access to these three buildings for such an operation?", Griffin asked the audience.

"Millions of people have died because of the big lie of 9-11," Griffin concluded. Sixty percent of the 9-11 responders (fire, police, rescue squads) have serious illnesses today from the toxic dust they inhaled. More will die from the rescue and clean-up operation than on 9-11 itself, he stated.

"Democrats have been as bad as Republicans for centuries" when it comes to American imperialism, Griffin said, as he recounted past examples of U.S. government false flag operations.

One question from the audience was, "What do we do?" Griffin acknowledged that it was the most difficult question to answer but said that in the end we must be able to say that we stood up and raised questions and organized when many feared doing so.

Europeans are increasingly becoming more critical of the official story Griffin reported, including media there now willing to openly discuss 9-11.

In the end, he concluded, "We don't give up."

"Physical laws contradict official theory," Griffin said several times throughout his talk. You can't argue with the science that absolutely proves that the collapse of Bldg 7 was a premeditated operation that was beyond the capabilities of Osama Bin-Ladin. There are so many holes in the official story that it looks like Swiss cheese.

To activists like me, who have seen the expansion of endless war and massive funding for military space technology since 9-11, I feel a moral and ethical responsibility to fix my glare on the reality of the collapsing buildings and destroyed lives and ask the basic and fundamental questions - why and who?

I Forgot To Say: Griffin called for a new investigation of 9-11 suggesting the $11 million official one was a complete bust. He reminded us that the space shuttle Challenger investigation some years ago cost $50 million.

• In statements made to reporters on the sidelines of a meeting spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared that all US vessels had retreated at least 400 kilometers from Iran’s coastal waters following Iranian strikes at the ships. He noted that prior to Operation “Ramadan,” approximately 30-40 warships had been present in the Persian Gulf. He added that all U.S. vessels had pulled back at least 400 kilometers from Iran’s  coastline.  

• Simplicius: Whenever the rules are abused and violated by the West to its advantage, it is simply treated as ‘part of the game’, a kind of ‘grandfathered-in’ geopolitical entitlement. But when other nations begin to level the playing field, by following the same set of “unspoken rules” accorded only to privileged Western nations, suddenly the world’s largest, oldest, and most esteemed EU consortiums must cry foul: “But the laws of the garden and the jungle are not interchangeable!”  The West should be careful of further provoking the entire world.  
• Sovereignista: And slowly, without fanfare, with no chaos, quietly, Russia is letting the cat out of the bag.  This is the real reply on Kushner and Wikoff’s visit, the telephone call with Trump, as well as the previous visit of the CIA Director, John Ratcliffe.  All the rest of what we saw, the visits to Kiev, the descriptions of wonderful and productive discussions and so on, was made up of spin. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov says he has not seen any US roadmap for ending the war in Ukraine. Ushakov called on Washington to halt its assistance to Kiev as a condition for ending the war.
• The Port Elizabeth 4 have been given a new trial date for the third time. Now on Monday, September 14, 9 am, at 1 Police Plaza, Elizabeth, New Jersey. Before dawn, on October 3, 2025, the four arrestees were part of an autonomous coalition of 100 protestors who stopped truck traffic delivering 1,000 tons of military weapons to the Port of Elizabeth bound that week for Israel on the Maersk Sentosa vessel. The defendants plan to represent themselves and use defenses of necessity, and, US and international law. The 4 are Teresa Grady, Danny Creamer, Ellen Grady and Mark Scibilia-Carver, all from Ithaca, NY, are charged with three disorderly persons’ offenses.

• Yemen’s AnsarAllah have liberated the city of Al-Mokha and its port from Saudi Arabia. This is a very strategic city for Yemen, because it increases their authority over the Red Sea. With the advances made over the past three days, the necessary groundwork has been laid for the complete clearing of Yemen's southwestern coast and the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait. The aerial and ground dominance of Yemeni armed forces over Yemen's western coast will prevent the Saudi coalition from expanding threats against maritime shipping and will pave the way for breaking the naval siege on Yemen. Yemen published footage showing the wreckage of a Saudi military Karayel drone that was shot down in Yemen’s Hajjah Province. The way that Saudi Arabia and the UAE immigrant mercenaries fled, it appears Yemen is winning. The Saudi 'royalists' sure aren't going to fight.            

• “As we get to the end of the MQ-9 Reaper drones life, there was some early talk of where do we want to go afterwards, and candidly, as a result of some of the losses that we've experienced in combat operations, that discussion sort of got accelerated,” said Lt. Gen. Christopher J. Niemi, the Air Force’s chief modernization officer. The service has lost at least 45 MQ-9s during Trump’s war on Iran, roughly one-quarter of its fleet, the Washington Post reported. The unit cost of one MQ-9 is $51 million in 2011 dollars - or nearly $82 million today. Niemi said the service wants to buy at least 180 MQ-9 replacements. “What we're seeing, in part based on our assessment of the threats around the world, and in part based on our real-world experience, is that you're going to lose more military hardware in future conflicts than you have historically, and that's what's driving us to this sort of fundamental principle that we need things that are easier to produce, cheaper to buy, and that we can afford to lose more of them,” he said. [It also signals that the US is being shot at which they are not used to at the Pentagon.]

• In the EU: Brussels is deepening military and technological cooperation with Israel – despite its own ministers calling Israeli settlements illegal and Israel’s actions in Gaza a “stain on the conscience of the world.”
• United Airlines: While passengers sat above, military hardware was reportedly traveling below. According to an investigation published by The Intercept, United passenger flights have carried thousands of shipments connected to Israeli weapons including F-35 components, tank parts, communications equipment and other military hardware — without passengers being told what was traveling beneath their feet.

• Israel has deepened its ties with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Serb-dominated Republika Srpska, opening an Israeli Chamber of Commerce office in Banja Luka as its international isolation over the Gaza genocide grows.  The move strengthens relations with the entity’s separatist leadership and reflects Israel’s efforts to build new political and economic partnerships in the Balkans.
• NASA in its infancy employed Hitler's former Nazi rocket scientist Wernher von Braun and 100 members of his V-2 rocket production team, and it appears to be returning to its roots. Pistol Pete Hegseth (Secretary of Endless War) attended the first meeting of the new US Space Academy on Sept 9 and said: "We need to dominate [in space]; and it's not just what we do at the War Department — it's what we do across government, at NASA, in private industry, in collaboration at every echelon. And so, we see this academy as a key component of ensuring we don't just lead, but we dominate."  NASA Administrator Jared Isaacson told the assembled that the US is currently in another space race, namely with China and Russia, and that "success and failure comes down to months, not years."  [Yeah, they do resemble Nazis.]

• The Global Network Against Weapons & Nuclear Power in Space will hold its annual 'Keep Space for Peace Week' during October 3-10. We urge people and groups around the planet to help us spread word about the destabilizing and environmentally deadly impacts of the current military and corporate activities and plans for US space 'control and domination'. 

• Popular Information: Workers in the US are earning a historically low share of the value they produce, according to new data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The BLS estimates that the labor share of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) “was 52.8 percent in the second quarter of 2026.” This is the lowest level that the BLS has seen since it first began recording labor share in 1947.
• Thailand’s Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow held a “frank discussion” with Israeli Ambassador Alona Fisher-Kamm over complaints involving Israeli nationals and tourists. Complaints reported in Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Pai, include intimidation, harassment and disputes involving Israeli nationals and businesses. Thai authorities are also investigating business arrangements involving Israeli nationals, including a case concerning land on Koh Phangan (island known for its stunning beaches).

• Medical debt alone has reached at least $220 billion nationwide. People aren't struggling with medical debt because they don't care about their health. They're struggling because health care is too expensive. Health care is a human right, not a privilege reserved for people who can afford it. We must confront the medical debt working-class families are carrying. We have the resources to build a health care system that puts people before profits.  Health care not warfare!

Trump offers bribe to voters if Republicans hold Congress

 

Trump spoke at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas, Texas pitching a $5,000 "dividend" for each American if his party sweeps the midterms. 

How can the Republicans offer this bribe when our nation is over $40 trillion in debt? Recently Trump suggested that he'd have to turn, already under funded Medicare (for the elderly) and Medicaid (for the poor), back to the states for them to cover the costs because of the demands from endless war spending. 

I can tell you, the states can't deal with that in addition to the long list of burdens which Washington has long been dumping on state and local governments.

And, ain't it illegal to offer a bribe to voters? Welcome to the mobster rule of America. 

One GOP operative expressed skepticism, calling it “a desperate attempt to change the political mood.” Also skeptical was Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas. “Well, I would like to know how they would plan to pay for [this],” he said.

Congress would need to approve the bribe payment, which would cost $1.35 trillion according to Reuters. 

U.S. Senator  Susan Collins, R-Maine, would not weigh in on Trump's bribe. “I was campaigning until late last night…and then started up first thing this morning, so I have not had a chance to look at that, and I’m not familiar with that proposal,” Collins said Thursday.

Oh sure, the biggest story across the U.S. today and she hadn't heard. Sen. Collins is now in a tough re-election race for her Senate seat. 

Elon Musk and many other billionaires are each dumping millions into the Collins campaign treasure chest.

So the corporate capitalists aren't only buying politicians these days, they are now willing to publicly declare they will buy votes and thus elections as well.

They must be running scared.

But keep this in mind, even if the Dems win, there will no serious change unless the citizens stay in the streets.
