A Poem for Michael and the next ones
Hurricanes, cyclones,
typhoons, tornadoes
the sacred mother
in toxic shock
thrashes about
calling her children
to live correctly
on her pregnant
aching body
The children
are busy
with this
and that
they hear the warnings
but rush onward
almost ready to die,
having given up.
Depression sets in
when we live our life
seeking 'things'.....
fighting spirit
vanishes
One man
I know,
a care giver,
we talk about
all of this,
his young children
are present in our
discussion
about the possibility
of a future on Earth
for the next ones
It's sad
and enraging
I share his pain
as a fellow father
and a human
When we lose
our outrage
we stop being human
and surrender to
darkness
I leave him with this:
What is the #1 job
of a human being
on Earth today?
It's the hardest job
one could ever take on.....
and a gift at the same time.
Protect la familia

Thank you, Bruce. The earth cries out in pain at how we are destroying life, hurting her, hurting each other. The only hope for humanity we have left is a paradigm shift recognizing the truth that we are part of her and she is part of us, that we are all interconnected.
Thank you for these words Bruce.
Thank you Ariel and Jacqui for your kind words - you understand
