One of my all-time favorites - tear jerker

Set in Naples, Quartieri Spagnoli, 1946.

In a situation of extreme poverty, Antonietta, Amerigo’s mother, faces the hardest decision of her life: letting her son go to give him the hope of a better future.

"The Children’s Train", the new film by Cristina Comencini, starring Barbara Ronchi, Serena Rossi, Christian Cervone, and Stefano Accorsi, based on the bestselling novel by Viola Ardone.

This story is based on true events led by the Italian Communist party after the end of WW2.

I've only seen this four times - one of my all-time favorite films.

It helps that my mom's family came from southern Italy. (My father was French-Canadian.)
