Sadness descends
on me
like a fog.
I used to fight it,
now I try to embrace
the feelings
that come from
a heart
full of
love, caring,
active solidarity
and justice.
The journey
is long
with many jingles
and jangles.
Heartbreak is ever present
as we are surrounded
by fools
and reprobates
who only care
about the dolla
and how many
toys they can accumulate
during their greedy
lifetimes.
I think of my relatives
who walked similar paths
during their time
in this universal unknown.
They trudged on
thru ice ages,
droughts, famine,
plagues, wars
and human failures.
But they got me here
for which I am happy,
and bend my knees
in prayerful gratitude
to all of them.
My love
never wavers
for our Mother Earth
whose body is now racked,
in toxic shock,
due to the tragic
spiritual disconnection
of her children.
It has to be a deep sorrow
for our mother
who only wanted the best for
those she birthed.
I can feel her tears.
I shall keep the
fires burning.

You moved me to tears this morning. I'm right there with you, Bruce.
One of your best, Bruce. Inspiring.
Much respect✊🏽
Alas!
The same Mother has given us life. My tears and yours are one. Our grief is one, my Brother. We are one with all beings. We hold them in our hearts with deep compassion. We breathe in. We breathe out and release the sorrow. We breathe in and hold them with love in our heart. We breathe out our love to all beings that are suffering. Here is a prayer I say each day ~
May all beings EVERYWHERE, be free from danger,
May all beings EVERYWHERE, be free from mental suffering,
May all beings EVERYWHERE, be free from physical suffering,
May all beings EVERYWHERE be enabled,
To carry out their lives, in Peace and Happiness. 😘
Bruce, you speak so eloquently for all of us who with hearts breaking continue the work for peace and justice. And you honor us with your loving spirit. Thank you, dear friend.
I love you Bruce. Thank you for your sustained attention. Thank you for your words. Thank you for your love and determination. For your quiet, steady example. I see you. You make our world so much more hopeful.
Thank you for these words Bruce. Thank you for your loving actions, determination and love for our planet.
Thank you for giving voice to the pain I too feel as I grieve for our beloved mother who, in your words, "only wanted the best for those she brithed". May we soon realize her wishes, and become all we can be.
