Statement of the Hungarian Community for Peace
The European Union would like to make the payment of many billions of euros to Hungary conditional on our government not putting an obstacle in the way of military and financial support for Ukraine. If we choose peace, we don't get money, but we do if we choose war. We are being blackmailed by the community we belong to.
Of course we would need the money. In addition, the EU owes us money. But would there be a compromise that would not entail the abandonment of the Hungarian government's peace policy? After all, Brussels would set this as a condition for the Judas money. Now the government god's mills are grinding, trying to figure out how the goat can be satiated and the cabbage kept. It would be a Nobel prize-winning solution, as no one else has yet succeeded. In the meantime, it would be worthwhile to start from the facts. From the obvious fact that Ukraine has lost the war, and NATO is also about to lose with it. It is only a matter of time before Kiev throws in the towel. We are facing a big change both in Ukraine and in Europe. Not only the geographical but also the political map of Europe will be redrawn. The expected consequence of the collapse of the Kiev regime will be a new change of power, the demilitarization and neutrality of Ukraine. And this will affect NATO as a whole, first of all its eastern wing, including Hungary. The question already arises: what is the need for NATO and an EU that functions as a subsidiary of NATO? Why an EU that serves American interests instead of Europe? So many questions waiting to be answered!
They know this in Brussels too, they just don't want to admit it. Rather, they want to save what can be saved: they are blackmailing our country and other former socialist member states with money, by withdrawing the right of veto, and by creating a multi-speed EU. With us, they protect the center with the ends. Let us shed our blood instead of them! The same way they shed the blood of Ukrainians for themselves. The empire feels his lost, but does not want to reconcile with it. However, sooner or later he will have to come to terms with the emerging new order. Being that our common future is revealed not in confrontation, but in cooperation. Brussels is now offering us money to choose the further arming of Ukraine and the confrontation with Russia.
We would be classified as a second- or third-class member if we wanted to live in peace and good relations with Russia. We would be demoted if we continued to face the oppressive regime in Kyiv and stand up for the respect of the self-determination rights of the peoples and nations living in Ukraine, the Transcarpathian Hungarians, which the EU renounced. If we chose a neutral Ukraine instead of a Ukraine living in conflict with its own nationalities and neighbors. If we were to strengthen our national sovereignty with a neutral policy against those who want to limit it at all costs. If we wanted a collective European security system to respect each other's security. If we want to live in good relations not only with the West, but also with the East. Would it be worth sacrificing our decent national future on the altar of momentary material benefits?
