If I had ever felt that Immigration Enforcement was a "good thing" the first time they gave me "the treatment" for the crime of looking Mex would have driven it from my brain.
I was already disillusioned by that point though. It's a major step in developing a social consciousness and conscience. But a lot of folks will refuse to believe the gun exists even, unless it's pointed at them. Some people in America think we've actually put racism behind us.
They sure do see the gun once it's pointed their direction though. Maybe people COULD learn without having to experience the harshest parts up close and personal though.
