YOU AIN'T GONNA BELIEVE THIS ONE
Glenn Beck talking about cutting military budget......wow!
Things went well in Hartford, CT tonight - they liked the Bring Our War $$ Home theme and appear to be wanting to work on it. It's spreading folks. Even to Glenn Beck!
Prediction - If Glenn Beck does too many more shows like this he will suddenly be taken down by some mysterious scandal and will lose his job.

What a lying piece of shit who FINALLY gets it NOW? He is totally untrustworthy.
IF it took him this long to "change" then, excuse me for pointing out that he has been nothing more than a mouthpiece for Corporatists for a DECADE.
we need quick learners, not corporate shills who jump on a band wagon for dubious purposes.
I don't trust him either, nor do I think he has "come over to our side" but it is very interesting that he has talked about this - one must wonder why?
Sorry, Bruce. I didn't mean you, personally, had fallen for Beck's orchestrated move.
This reality of the MIC is so obvious that a portion of the truth must be used for him to be believable in the mind of sheep.
But what is his final solution he eludes to? Privatizing the military (which only will GROW it even more).
He is a corporatist shill who is being directed to use the 10% of truth he is forced to acknowledge, but only to mislead us 90% the wrong direction.
Anyone who believes Beck to be a patriot or that he even cares about America or the Constitution, is a silly, blind nincompoop with no thinking ability.

It's a few years old now, but still very relevant. There is however a glaring omission in it - any mention of William Kristol, The Weekly Standard, and The Project for a New American Century. FOX is the central TV clearinghouse for neocon propaganda. Whatever Glenn Beck might personally believe, NOTHING that he says goes to air without being vetted by the Murdoch empire and the interests it is tethered to.
That being said, there is always a possibility that Beck's sycophants can be positively affected by this, as they may now find common ground for dialogue with peace activists who have been screaming about military spending for what now seems like eons.
The U.S. media has held military spending as so sacrosanct that it rarely gets mentioned, let alone debated. So I will keep my fingers crossed, but I expect there will be a diversion to follow this and to channel the attention of those who are questioning military spending.
One consideration and it's very very ugly. With a private military there would theoretically be no answer to any court. No longer any pretense that the Military answers to Civilians.
Assuming the Corporations are bad-ass enough to over-ride all civil law.
It's very much the system of rule that Rome had.
From there, it would be a short slide to America being a non-nation. And no longer an Empire either.
The worst part is, the U.S. has more of each type of WMD, biological, nuclear and chemical, than the rest of the world combined. And we have the distinction of being the only nation which has used all three.

Sorry. Truth.
"One must wonder why"
Indeed, that is exactly the right question.
