I can almost hear the climate deniers saying that it's not feasible, the sun doesn't always shine (it shines constantly) the wind doesn't always blow (The US has 3.4 million square miles of electric grid, and there's not very likely to be wind-free conditions across the entire grid.) and you know the rest. Next they'll say there's a gravity shortage.
