The economy and security in Afghanistan are on shaky ground in the lead up to the Saturday presidential elections in Afghanistan. Female Associated Press photo-journalist Anja Niedringhaus was killed in eastern Afghanistan Friday by gunmen dressed in police uniforms, while her companion, reporter Kathy Gannon, survived the attack.

With attacks like this ramping up in the past few weeks, the security situation is threatening to deteriorate, while the already shaky economy is slowing further. RT's Lucy Kafanov reports from the streets of Kabul on the worsening economic situation and its impacts on the country.
