The revolutions of the teens of the last century came 2 generations too late. "Victoria" is on PBS right now. Killing them would have been just, but not right. If they had been turned out of their palaces and perhaps sold would be closer.

Let them have their lives, you know, and not allow them to re-enter political discourse. Spend two or three generations in forced poverty. Wouldn't make up for the dozens or even hundreds of generations before, but it would have spared the world the abominations of two world wars and a constant, persistent state of war for more than a century.

Just an observation. Could have would have should have. But it wasn't done and now it's on us to patch it together.
