Under France the people suffered greatly and NO ONE came to their defense. Now the people are starting to prosper and the USA wants to 'save the citizens of Burkina Faso'. I am ashamed of my country!
Since when is the U.S. concerned about corruption in Africa? Instead of faking concern about another country's gold reserves (other than getting your hands on it), you need to be concerned about Social Security, which the U. S. government has depleted.
We aren’t blind anymore, Africans, African Americans, Afro-carribeans let’s stand together, unite and not let anything stand in our progress. Not even our very own people
I am a Ghanaian and we know this script of the US very well. They did the same thing to our first president, Dr Kwame Nkrumah. But America should know that we're no longer in the 1960s. We the youth of Africa will resist every attempt by the US to topple Ibrahim Troare.
What business is it of the US about a another SOVEREIGN nation's resources. The garbage about defenders of democracy is old. The US corporations want the resources.
I am Somali American, and We support the people of Burkina Faso and its leadership. May Allah bless them all....
Africans on the entire continent; please unite and speak up and stand up against America. Do not let America do in Burkina Faso what they did in Libya.
I am an African-American and I have followed the leadership of Ibrahim Traoré since he became the leader of his country, and I admire him and pray for his safety.
When Chavez of Venezuela demanded his country's gold be returned to them, he mysteriously developed cancer. Gaddafi intended to establish a pan-African currency based on the Libyan golden Dinar. This plan was designed to provide the Francophone African Countries with an alternative to the French franc. We all know what happened to him. I am seriously praying for Ibrahim Traore.
The Western countries cannot imagine that a small nation in Africa continent can manage it's minerals and resources so well without their help. Ibrahim Traore is the shining light Africa needs.
70 year old female, retired US military (1999) and I've been following Captain Traore since he became the leader of Burkina Faso. HUGE respect and admiration for what he's doing for your country. DO NOT trust our US government or military, they lied to us too. May God continue to bless and protect Captain Traore.
Allegations of Western interference and destabilization attempts have united Africans globally, leading to a historic protest planned for April 30, 2025, to demand respect for Africa's sovereignty and support for Traoré. This movement highlights a collective stand against neo-colonialism and a celebration of African resilience.
