Glen Ford, a veteran broadcast, print and digital journalist who hosted the first nationally syndicated Black news interview program on TV before going on to found the Black Agenda Report (BAR) website, has died, according to reports. He was 71 years old.
Chris Hedges interviewed Glen Ford in 2017.
I was lucky to be on the same speaking platform with Glen twice over the years. When Peter Woodruff and I had a weekly radio show at the Bowdoin College station for six years we often played short commentaries recorded by Glen.
He was always articulate and was not timid about telling the hard truths.
He will be missed for sure.
