This song is in honor of my son Julian's birthday (December 13). He was born five days after the killing of John Lennon in 1980. His mom and I chose the name Julian to remember John who also had a son named Julian.
Paul McCartney wrote this song for Julian Lennon when as a young boy his parents got divorced. Paul had taken Julian for a ride in the car and came up with this one.
