At the time of Bill Clinton's US-NATO bombing of Belgrade and the break-up of Yugoslavia into smaller nations in 1999, it became quite clear to Russia that they were on the list for the same treatment at some point.

Thus what is happening today in Ukraine is just one more step in the US-NATO foolhardy plan for regime change in Moscow and the balkanization of Russia into smaller nations. This would enable the western fossil fuel corporations to have access and control of the vast resource base of the Russian Federation.

Nuclear war is now a distinct possibility as the US-NATO makes this move on Russia. As you can see in the video, a crazed Biden is indicative of the insanity of those currently running the US 'supposed' democratic government.

On May 7, 1999, during the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia (Operation Allied Force), five U.S. Joint Direct Attack Munition guided bombs hit the People's Republic of China embassy in the Belgrade district of New Belgrade, killing three Chinese journalists and outraging the Chinese public. According to the U.S. government, the intention had been to bomb the nearby Yugoslav Federal Directorate for Supply and Procurement (FDSP). President Bill Clinton apologized for the bombing, stating it was an accident. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director George Tenet testified before a congressional committee that the bombing was the only one in the campaign organized and directed by his agency, and that the CIA had identified the wrong coordinates for a Yugoslav military target on the same street. The Chinese government issued a statement on the day of the bombing, stating that it was a "barbarian act".

Back in 1999, similar to the situation today, the peace movement in the US was reluctant to protest against Clinton's war on Yugoslavia because he was a Democrat. Few peaceniks were willing to hit the streets with those of us who did. It is now known that the US used depleted uranium bombs causing major cancer clusters around Belgrade.

Tragedy in Mariupol

There are some new facts related to the current tragedy in Mariupol. 

[Mariupol has been a stronghold of the Nazi Azov Battalion death squads since just after the 2014 US directed coup in Kiev. When peaceful protests began soon after the coup calling for a 'federated' Ukraine in Mariupol, the Azov Battalion was sent there and began shooting peaceful protestors in the streets. Soon they were terrorizing local citizens and have since established a base inside the city.]

The humanitarian operation there continues. On one hand, over the past day, 13,751 people have been evacuated from the city, and a total of 56,743 have been already evacuated so far.

On the other hand, according to radio intercepts, it has been reliably established that nationalists in the city are conducting intensive negotiations with Kiev to unblock Mariupol and send them support.
Over the past three days, the intensity of negotiations has increased significantly, while negotiations on both sides are taking place in extremely rough tones. The neo-nazi in Mariupol feel the hopelessness of the current situation, and Kiev understands the impossibility of providing any assistance. Thus, the nationalists have more than 200,000 people of the civilian population, whom they can use as a "human shield". This position has been agreed with the leadership of Ukraine. 

Understanding the content and consequences of these negotiations, Russia officially appealed to the Kiev authorities and two days ago brought that Moscow is ready to open humanitarian corridors and release all neo-nazi factions in any direction in order to save the city and those people, who have already glorified themselves with the explosions of a kindergarten, two schools, a maternity hospital and a drama theater building. At the same time, Russia guaranteed the life of nationalists who will laid down their weapons, and provide a humanitarian corridor for their exit to the territories controlled by Kiev. 

Unfortunately, in response, Russia received a categorical refusal from high officials of Kiev even for such generous offer.

One can only guess about the next steps of desperate gangs who have lost their minds and understand their complete hopelessness, while horrifying pictures of the possible consequences of these actions are emerging. That is why, Russian side warned the entire civilized world in advance, international organizations, primarily

Kiev’s violence versus Ukrainian civilians

The Joint Coordination Headquarters of the Russian Federation for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine continues to record numerous facts of violence against civilians and in other localities not only in Mariupol, but in some other places which continues to be held by neo-nazi as a "human shield".
Here are just some of them over the past day:

• In Chernihov, the militants of nationalist battalions, under threat of physical violence, take away the last food from the local population, including those received as humanitarian aid.

• In Zaporozhie, the nationalist-minded authorities forcibly distribute Molotov cocktails to the residents of the city and call on the civilian population to throw them at Russian troops, thereby cynically pushing people to imminent death.

• In Kharkov, the Ukrainian nationalists fired at the place of delivery of humanitarian aid.

• In addition, in Severodonetsk, nationalist formations and foreign mercenaries defending themselves together with territorial defence reservists forcibly placed the local population around occupied residential buildings, and citizens who refused to leave shelters and go out into the streets were simply shot.

Independent exit of people from settlements is strictly suppressed. Local residents, taken to the basements of residential buildings, allegedly to escape from Russian air strikes, are in appalling unsanitary conditions, lack of food and water, without electricity and under the influence of lies fabricated by the Ukrainian authorities about blocking humanitarian corridors.

All these facts once again testify to the genocide of the Kiev authorities against their own people and complete indifference to the fate of millions of ordinary people.

Unfortunately, all our persistent appeals to the Ukrainian side about the opening of humanitarian corridors to Russia, as well as official appeals to international structures of the UNO, the OSCE, and the International Committee of the Red Cross, are still ignored to date. At the same time the Kiev authorities persistently continue to assert that there are no people willing to evacuate to the Russian Federation.

Out on street again - no war with Russia!

Four of us spent the noon hour yesterday holding signs and banners on the street at a busy intersection in Westbrook, Maine. We got a steady flow of waves and honks - only two 'middle fingers' that we noticed. Again most people just drive by with no expression on their face - the zombie look. Our crew of folks is going out once a week to different busy intersections in the region. 

If you want to reach the American people stand on a corner with a sign and they will drive by at some point.

On the way home from Westbrook I was listening to right-wing talk radio and one caller said she had just watched the TV program called 'Inside Edition' (which claims to broadcast 'uplifting news') and heard that Vladimir Putin just fired 1,000 of his top people and now has a food taster so he does not get assassinated. This is the kind of crap the people in the US listen to every day. This is where they get their heads filled with all of the CIA talking points which are then spread to others. To say that Americans are colonized people is an under-statement. It's no wonder that so many people drive by our peace vigils with blank looks on their faces.

I saw a Pew research poll yesterday. According to the poll, 62% of Americans said that they would oppose “taking military action even if it risks a nuclear conflict with Russia.” However, 35% said they’d still support military action even if it meant nuke exchange. Results were almost equal on either side of the partisan divide, with 36% of Republicans and 35% of Democrats willing to risk atomic war with Russia, which has the world’s largest stockpile of nuclear warheads. Just goes to show both political parties are loaded with very ignorant people who are following Washington over the cliff.

The US is working hard to pressure China to renounce Russia and to join the US-EU in placing harsh sanctions on Moscow. China refuses. 

We often hear US-NATO talking heads say that the 'whole world' is with the US in sanctioning Russia. What is never reported in mainstream media is that besides China the following list are some of the nations not joining the US economic war on Moscow. 

Mexico, Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua, Iran, Thailand, India, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Serbia, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Brazil, Venezuela, South Africa, Malaysia, Vietnam, Burundi, Senegal, South Sudan, South Africa, Uganda, Mali, Mozambique, Syria, North Korea, Eritrea, and Pakistan.

 

What this list shows me (again this is not all of the nations refusing to sanction Russia) is that when you add up their combined population figures (compared to the US and Europe) they are the majority of the global population. 

But why are they staying neutral or actively supportive of Russia? I think it should be fairly clear to us that the vast majority of these nations have had lots of experience for hundreds of years of brutal colonization by the UK, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, and the US. They have not historically had much ability to stand up to these western, white colonizers.

Russia (facing US-NATO's loaded gun pointed at its head) has been pleading for years for secure borders but the arrogant west has disdainfully ignored Moscow's honest pleas. Continual NATO expansion, and the 2014 US sponsored coup d' etat in Ukraine, have essentially forced Russia to reluctantly take a stand. It is generally my opinion that much of the colonized world sees Russia and China as nations that are not bowing before the global bullies - Mr. Big as I like to label the capitalist corporate western oligarchies.

So, it is a very divided world - the west verses the Global South.

The western corporate media boasts that their sanctions will destroy the Russian economy and help to force regime change in Moscow which is the real goal of US-EU. In response Russia is just turning away from the US-Europe and creating new economic institutions with China that will ultimately put the 'petrodollar' into the dumper. Already we see Washington's long-time 'best buddies' in Saudi Arabia agreeing to sell their oil to China using Yuan rather than dollars. This is a huge sign of this global turning away from the aggressive and arrogant west. Once this snowball gets rolling down hill it will be unstoppable.

The current US-NATO war on Russia is a clear indication to the Global South that the western nations will attempt to beat the hell out of anyone that tries to change the ‘new world order’. Russia is indeed being punished in many ways.

We can only hope that the desperate west does not in this current moment of change resort to a full-blown US-NATO war on Russia and China that could go nuclear in a red-hot flash. It is certainly quite possible that things could turn in that direction.

Sadly, there are many ‘progressives’ in the US and elsewhere across the west who are misreading this present dangerous conflict. It is astounding to anyone who knows better to watch peaceniks flying Ukrainian flags and denying the active presence of Nazis inside the Kiev military and security agencies. It’s very hard to watch some on the ‘left’ deny that Nazis are inside the big cities across Ukraine holding civilians hostage and killing them in order to blame Moscow.

But as usual, time will reveal much of what is now cloudy to some. Each day I see more people coming around to face the truth as to what is actually going on. 

Let's just hope that it won't be too late to really matter.

The French president's new look - the Zelensky craze

 

Volodymyr Zelensky has been turned into a rock star by the western corporate media. The public appears to lap it up. His signature green combat T-shirt and unshaven face helps to create the image that he is fighting on the front lines inside Ukraine. In reality Zelensky is squired in the US embassy in Poland reading scripts handed to him by his CIA handlers. It is the biggest acting job of his career.

Being desperate with declining popularity, and facing reelection, Emmanuel Macron in France has decided to join the war-time Zelensky look with a bit of fashion switch of his own - unshaven and wearing a military hoodie. Normally the former investment banker at Rothschild & Co only dresses in the finest Paris fashions. But one does what one must to stay popular and relevant.

So who is next? Will Germany's new Chancellor Olaf Scholz show up wearing Lederhosen in Munich  for Oktoberfest? I hope he has good looking legs, otherwise it might not work. Of course he will be carrying a receipt for the weapons he has just transferred to Ukraine.

Or will Justin Trudeau in Canada soon be seen driving an 18-wheeler (loaded with gifts for his friend Zelensky) wearing Carhartt jeans and jacket?

 

Or how about Joe Biden? What will the aging and demented war-mongering US prez do to stay cool in the public eye? Maybe we'll see a re-run of his campaign for president where he told the tough-guy story about his almost fight with Corn Pop which is immortalized in this video.

 

It's a hard life being the leader of a country. One must come up with a story-line and a hip image in order to earn the public's adoration. 

It's quite alarming to see the ways these 'leaders' can fool the public into thinking they are the top of the pops.

Moscow published more documents on U.S. Bio-labs in Ukraine

 

Russia continues to study evidence on Ukrainian-U.S. military bio-labs

 

More than 30 such labs implemented biological warfare programs in full cooperation with the United States and its NATO allies on the territory of Ukraine. A secret project aimed at studying the ways bats can transmit diseases to humans has been carried out under the direct supervision of U.S. specialists’ control and on a systematic basis at the joint bio-lab in Kharkov, Ukraine, for many years. Even the U.S. Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland admitted in the Senate March 8th that such labs do exist.

As part of the project, the Kharkiv State Veterinary Academy studied 145 wild birds as vectors for the transmission of highly pathogenic avian influenza. The conditions were assessed under which the transfer can become unmanageable, cause economic damage, and create food security risks.

The Russian Ministry of Defence also named names, revealing that Joanna Wintrol, the U.S. Defence Threat Reduction Agency's liaison officer at the US Embassy in Kiev, has been serving as one of the program's curators.

Commenting on a trove of papers released in a presentation held March 17th, Russian Radiological, Chemical and Biological (RCB) Defence Troops chief Lt-Gen Igor Kirillov pointed to a document dated 6 March 2015 which he said confirmed that components of biological weapons were being created in Ukraine with direct U.S. involvement and financing.  

"An analysis of the information received suggests that Ukrainian specialists have not been made aware of the potential risks involved in the transfer of bio-materials, and that they are essentially being used and kept in the dark, and have no real idea about the true goals of the ongoing research," Kirillov said at a briefing in Moscow on March 17th.

He suggested that it was no coincidence that these bio-laboratories were chosen by the DTRA and its contractor Black & Veatch to execute Project UP-8, directed at the study of pathogens of Crimean Congo hemorrhagic fever, leptospirosis and hantaviruses, given that these pathogens have natural foci in both Ukraine and Russia. Their use can be disguised as the natural outbreak of diseases. This is why this particular project received additional funding, and the deadlines for its implementation were extended, Kirillov said. 

Ukrainian bio-labs were also the main executor of Project P-782, conducting research into the transmission of diseases through bats. A Russian RCB Troops analysis of documents in this area has shown that Pentagon research in this area has been going on since at least 2009 under the direct supervision of U.S. specialists, and that work in this area was undertaken in sub-projects P-382, P-444 and P-568.

The documents showed that the Pentagon planned to expand its military bio-research program in Ukraine to neighboring countries, and a research into the spread of pathogens by bats in joint U.S labs in Ukraine and the Lugar Lab in the Republic of Georgia began in October 2019, on the eve of the start of the global coronavirus pandemic.

Russia continues to receive information about attempts to destroy bio-materials and documentation in Ukraine's bio-labs. During such liquidation activities at the Laboratory of Veterinary Medicine in the settlement of Khlebodarskoye, Odessa region, Ukrainian nationals working at the lab were not even allowed in the building. This laboratory cooperates with the Mechnikov Anti-Plague Research Institute in Odessa, which conducted research on plague, anthrax, cholera, tularemia and arboviruses.

Russian MoD will present in the near future new documents on the export of a large amount of human biomaterials from Ukraine to the UK and other European countries.

While the Ukrainian officials made a bet on the informational warfare, the ongoing military operations in Ukraine unveiled their complete incompetence. All the main provocations aimed at blaming the Russian military of inhumane actions against civilians and used by Zelenskiy as the pretext for yet another plea for more military supplies from the West were revealed before Mr Zelenskiy released his daily video appeals to his Western counterparts.

Even superficial analyses are sufficient to reveal the lies spread by Kiev, even by the Ukrainian top officials.

Sometimes, there was even no need of any analyses, as the “actors” involved in the shooting were so proud of themselves and their contribution to the fake war in Ukraine that they shared the videos of the shooting process on the social media.

Unfortunately, the fact that the Kiev regime is completely discredited remains a secret for Ukrainians and the main part of the Western public, as MSM continue to massively share outright lies.

The memo from the General Staff of the Army dated 9 March is extremely serious. Our army is preparing to fight. It is a striking demonstration that our country is already a co-belligerent party in the ongoing conflict. Citizens are being kept in the dark about how the government is tragically dragging us into a war whose development, if it continues on this path, will be devastating. Those who have served in the armed forces for the last 30 years have never seen such a memo from the General Staff of the Army. Add to this wretched mobilisation of troops the fact that we still do not know what kind of weaponry we are sending to Ukraine. The government must immediately clarify this to the country.

Waltzing Toward Armageddon with the Merchants of Death

The march towards protracted conflict with Russia and China will backfire. The desperate effort to counter the steady loss of economic dominance by the US will not be offset by military dominance. If Russia and China can create an alternative global financial system, one that does not use the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency, it will signal the collapse of the American empire. The dollar will plummet in value. Treasury bonds, used to fund America’s massive debt, will become largely worthless. The financial sanctions used to cripple Russia will be, I expect, the mechanism that slays us, if we don’t first immolate ourselves in thermonuclear war.

Washington plans to turn Ukraine into Chechnya or the old Afghanistan, when the Carter administration, under the influence of the Svengali-like National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, equipped and armed the radical jihadists that would morph into the Taliban and al Qaeda in the fight against the Soviets. It will not be good for Russia. It will not be good for the United States. It will not be good for Ukraine, as making Russia bleed will require rivers of Ukrainian blood. The decision to destroy the Russian economy, to turn the Ukrainian war into a quagmire for Russia and topple the regime of Vladimir Putin will open a Pandora’s box of evils. Massive social engineering — look at Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya or Vietnam — has its own centrifugal force. It destroys those who play God.

The Ukrainian war has silenced the last vestiges of the Left. Nearly everyone has giddily signed on for the great crusade against the latest embodiment of evil, Vladimir Putin, who, like all our enemies, has become the new Hitler. The United States will give $13.6 billion in military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, with the Biden administration authorizing on Saturday an additional $200 million in military assistance. The 5,000-strong EU rapid deployment force, the recruitment of all Eastern Europe, including Ukraine, into NATO, the reconfiguration of former Soviet Bloc militaries to NATO weapons and technology have all been fast tracked. Germany, for the first time since World War II, is massively rearming. It has lifted its ban on exporting weapons. Its new military budget is twice the amount of the old budget, with promises to raise the budget to more than 2 percent of GDP, which would move its military from the seventh largest in the world to the third-, behind China and the United States. NATO battlegroups are being doubled in size in the Baltic states to more than 6,000 troops. Battlegroups will be sent to Romania and Slovakia. Washington will double the number of U.S. troops stationed in Poland to 9,000. Sweden and Finland are considering dropping their neutral status to integrate with NATO.

This is a recipe for global war. History, as well as all the conflicts I covered as a war correspondent, have demonstrated that when military posturing begins, it often takes little to set the funeral pyre alight. One mistake. One overreach. One military gamble too many. One too many provocations. One act of desperation.

He reported from the Donbass for years and was kicked out of Ukraine for doing so. Kiev's Nazi-led army tried to kill him many times.  

He's now come back and tells this story.
