Gaza: What comes next?

Yesterday we had six people stand at the busiest intersection on Main Street in Brunswick, Maine.

This weekly (Thursday) vigil has now changed its immediate purpose to stand in solidarity with the brutally attacked people of Palestine. Whether they are in Gaza, the West Bank or refugees in camps or cities all over the world, we stand with the call for a 'Free Palestine'.

I also came to this spot on Wednesday of this week by myself for an hour just because I had to do something more. (I went back again alone on Friday at noon for an hour. 27 positives and 4 negatives that I was able to see while hundreds of cars passed by.)  On Friday at 5:00 pm the local PeaceWorks group holds its weekly vigil since 9-11-2001. MB and I will be there as well.

I spend close to 10 hours a day at the computer reading articles and then sharing many of them in various platforms. My goal is to help people come in contact with more alternative media sources - particularly those from the Middle East, Asia and Africa. The western media is pure trash on behalf of the 'Empire of Lies'.

As I write this everyone is wondering what the 'Axis of Resistance' (Hezbollah in Lebanon, Syria, groups in Iraq, Iran and most recently Yemen) will do in response to Israel's gross barbaric attacks on Gaza?

Amnesty International has confirmed Israel’s use of White Phosphorus in Gaza. White Phosphorus is an incendiary chemical weapon that cannot be extinguished…and can potentially burn flesh to the bone.

Lately Yemen and Hezbollah have been firing drones and missiles toward Israel. Some have hit targets and some have reportedly been intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome system. 

The big question is if the Axis of Resistance comes hard at Israel what will the US-NATO and Israel do? Will Israel fire nuclear weapons? Will troops, planes and warships from US, France, Germany, UK join the fight? If that happens how does the Arab street react? How about the streets in the US and Europe?

The Biden regime talks out of both sides of its filthy mouth. They say they want humanitarian 'pauses' but are unwilling to demand that Tel Aviv agree to a ceasefire. They talk peace but have organized a massive naval armada near the Gaza coast.

Many rightly see this as one more desperate 'Hail Mary pass' just like the Ukraine war has been. The colonialist western nations are losing their global control. Wiping out the Palestinians is the second round in this struggle to maintain domination. The plan is to erase Palestine and use those lands to set up a massive military base of operations for western control of the region. And of course it is a prime spot in order to attempt to control oil and natural gas distribution world wide.

 

The Pentagon was complaining that they are running out of weapons to send to Ukraine. Now they have to feverishly supply Israel with more military hardware. This will keep the MIC production lines humming for a long-time to come.

How will Washington pay for all this (and don't forget Taiwan too)? 

I assume they will print more Confederate war $$$ and more slap us with more debt which the working class will have to pay back to Wall Street banksters. 

During the George W. Bush administration's war on Iraq in 2003 the Pentagon did an internal educational program to instill in soldiers minds that 'America's #1 role in the world today is security export'. That means endless war. That means the US economy has to be addicted to military production. This is why both parties in the Congress support all the wars. It's the only government jobs program anymore.

America has long been a warrior state - and now it is getting worse. And what comes with endless war? Fascism - we hear lots of talk about 'democracy' but you won't find much of it around anymore.

The people

We get more positives than negatives while holding signs on the street. That is a good thing. But the vast majority appear to be in a spell - of sadness, depression and resignation. They are so brainwashed that having opinions about big issues is not something most Americans are comfortable doing.

So in addition to our calls for solidarity with Palestine we also try to encourage people to have the confidence to trust their hearts. We all need the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz to bring us some courage.

Yesterday we had multiple people rolling down their windows and screaming at us in defense of Israel. This is a new development. From what we hear them say to us they appear to be Zionists - maybe of the Jewish or Christian fundamentalist variety.

In a way we take these screaming Zionists as evidence that they are feeling desperate as global opinion is clearly shifting against Israel. Even high-level operatives inside the anemic United Nations are starting to tell the truth about the genocidal bombings of Gaza. It is more than obvious that this is a strategy of extermination.

 

Ask yourself....what would I have done if I was alive when the US military was slaughtering Native Americans. Or in the Philippines, or Korea or Vietnam or Iraq or Yugoslavia or Libya?

We must stand against this evil US war machine by calling for an end to funding war in Ukraine and against the long oppressed Palestinian people! Lands must be returned to Palestine.

We have become a killing nation on behalf of western colonialism.
