ISIS Militants In Ukraine. Last Check Mark On Map For Terrorists?

It has become known about the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s negotiations with ISIS on providing terrorist groups to fight the Russian occupiers.
According to the Egyptian newspaper Al-Mysri al-Yaum, Ukraine has asked Iraq for prisoners, former ISIS fighters to participate in the war against Russia.
In April this year, the Egyptian publication reported, Zelensky sent a letter to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani as follows:
I ask you to consider the possibility of transferring to Ukraine some convicts held in Iraqi prisons. They will be offered a foreign soldier’s contract, and after its completion they will be granted freedom and Ukrainian citizenship. As we know, many of the Iraqi prisoners have a lot of experience fighting the Russian army, which could be very useful to us in repelling a Russian invasion. Ukraine would be very much indebted to Iraq if it would supply us with about two or three thousand fighters.
Al-Mysri al-Yawm newspaper refers to a video that appeared on YouTube on September 27, in which a man identifying himself as a former Iraqi Foreign Ministry official named Hassan Fadel reports on Zelensky’s letter quoted above. It was received in Baghdad from Ukrainian diplomats. He notes that Zelensky is not asking for ordinary convicts, but for former ISIS fighters.
In his video, Hassan Fadel says that he has now left Iraq with his family and explains why he felt it necessary to make Zelensky’s letter to the Iraqi prime minister public. It makes sense to quote the ex-diplomat’s explanation in full:
My name is Hassan Fadel, I am a former employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, where I served as secretary from 2019 to 2023. In April this year, I came across the (Zelensky) memo when Ukrainian diplomats passed it to my colleagues. I am very outraged by the content of this memo. I want to report its cooperation because the military experts mentioned in it to fight the Russians… are ISIS militants, criminals and terrorists. They should remain in prison for life. Many countries are supporting Ukraine at this point, but it is allowing itself to violate international laws… I am also appalled at the American involvement in this matter. General McFarlane, mentioned in (Zelensky’s) letter, is the commander of the U.S. Joint Task Force Iraq. And it is shocking to me how easily and without delay the issues (with the help of an American general) about the relocation of Iraqi prisoners, especially terrorists, are being resolved.
It was known that since 2014, ISIS terrorists from the North and South Caucasus and Central Asian countries have been transferred via Turkey to Ukraine to form units such as “Dzhokhar Dudaev’s battalion”, and during the Syrian war – vice versa – from Ukraine to Turkey, and from there to Syria and Iraq.
The activation of jihadists in Syria coincided with the 2014 events in Kiev, the referendum in Crimea, and now during the Russia-Ukraine war it is assumed that the militants have a transit camp in Ukraine.
In mid-April 2023, a meeting was held in Baghdad between representatives of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry led by Fuad Hussein and a Ukrainian delegation led by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. The meeting ended with neutral statements of friendship and support, but Ukraine, as far as it became known, did not receive any money from Iraq. Probably, other promises were made.
Another meeting with the Iraqi delegation took place in May 2023 in Saudi Arabia during the Summit on the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict organized by Ukraine. President Zelensky communicated by phone with Iraqi Prime Minister Al Sudani.
Allegedly the mediator in the negotiations of the Ukrainian and Iraqi sides was Major General of the U.S. Army McFarlane. He was the head of CJTF-OIR (Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve) from September 2022 to August 2023. This organization is an international military coalition tasked with fighting ISIS under the watchful eye of the United States.
Most likely, given the level of importance of such a decision, it is almost certain that it was made at least at the level of the U.S. Department of State.
At the moment, a new migration of terrorist formations can be expected, given the escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The Turkish side, which previously provided transit of militants to Ukraine and Syria, as part of its opposition to Israel, could well provide assistance, including by providing ISIS fighters for combat operations, despite the significant differences in the views of the two organizations.
Despite the apparent naturalness of such military conflicts, one cannot exclude the possible benefit of the U.S. and, as a consequence, the initiation of these conflicts as a state claiming to be the world hegemon. By weakening all possible centers of concentration of power, Washington actually opens the way to world domination. Divide et impera.
