I get deeply saddened to hear people in the 'liberal west' lecture others around the world (particularly in the Global South) about how they should think, live, and govern themselves.
I find this to be the height of arrogance - maybe at times unintended by some - but still reflecting the western ingrained way of thinking and living. Control of the planet by domination - militarily, institutionally, and intellectually.
When I think of nations like China, Iran, India, African continent, Russia, Mexico and many, many more what comes to mind is long history, extraordinary cultural experiences and real struggle to survive. Most of these nations have suffered colonization, slavery, and stealing of their natural and human resources at the hands of the 'enlightened' west.
I do believe in democracy (as defined by the people living in a particular country, not the west) and I believe in national sovereignty. People must be allowed the pure right to decide their own collective fates without interference from the globalist corporate neo-cons.
Simple as that.
We all have so much to learn from one another - a little love and humility can go a long way.
