Film showing in Portland: Last of the Right Whales

Please come and watch the Maine Premiere of the film Last of the Right Whales in Portland, Maine at the Patriot Nickelodeon at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 27th

The film will be followed by a discussion with whale experts. We are killing these whales faster than they can reproduce. With a global population estimated at only 336, we will loose this species forever within a few decades should we fail to greatly reduce human-caused injuries and deaths, most of which result from vessel strikes and entanglements in fishing gear.

This film needs to be seen by the public, especially here in Maine where the level of denial about Maine’s role in the decline of this keystone species is enormous, as is the amount of dis and misinformation coming out of the Maine lobster industry and Maine media and politicians.

Love and Flukes,

The Taliban and ISIS have joined forces, which is why the US left $80 billion in arms behind.
