'We Are in Big Trouble'

Sitting Bull was a Hunkpapa Lakota holy man from South Dakota and was brought onto the reservation by the US Army in 1881.

He toured the east coast of the US as a performer with Buffalo Bill's Wild West show for some time and a story is told that while he was in New York City he sat on a door stoop and all the local homeless street kids came up to him begging for money which he gave them.

When Sitting Bull returned home to South Dakota he told his people, "We are in big trouble - you should see how the White Man treats his children."

The capitalist system is heartless and evil.

  1. I remember as a child being directed to a window at the middle of the school, right by the office, to get my lunch ticket. Each day. Each of us who took part in the program, called by name to be first in line on the march to the cafeteria. And split off from the others to go to the office, while the rest of the class went straight to the cafeteria. One girl in my class, who felt she was rich (middle class, but it really wasn't HER wealth, it was what her parents had) gave me a lesson about debate. She said that people who rent instead of own didn't pay property taxes, apparently taught by her parents or their pastor. But I knew and expressed that the tenants pay the taxes as part of the rent, and that rental properties are taxed more per square foot that owner occupied property. While it spurred my social conscience and consciousness, it was another lesson in smug class politics. From a kid to a kid.In 1972. Ten years later Texas politicians (and apparently Reagan before ascended the the throne it was a law in California) proposed that all "welfare" (except the Corporate Welfare MIC) recipients would have take drug tests and attend classes for alcohol and other drugs.

All to make the working poor ashamed of having less money than it takes for us to produce our labor. And it trickled down, again, to the kid-on-kid snobbishness.

Capital is apparently so weak it needs war to sustain it, and the leaders of Capital make it clear that Capital can't exist alongside other economic models. It's an "all or nothing" philosophy. The Reaganites boast that they forced the Soviets, with constant threats of total destruction, to spend more resources than they had to beef up their defense. What they don't say is, in doing so, they forced the people in the Capital economic model to accede to impossible debt, just offset the payments on that debt through bonds, something Communism and Socialism only have in their dealings with Capital.

And the Bond debt, the compound interest known as Usury and Loan Sharking,... is self perpetuating, like an artificial organism, a gene-splitting viral infection.
