Peggy Tuxen-Akers is a former Viet Nam nurse and member of the Maine
Chapter of Veterans for Peace. This is her Warriors for Peace: Veterans
Speak profile. Her perspective on the Viet Nam war is quite different
from those of the guys who killed and were killed in the rice paddies
and jungles of Viet Nam. Peggy’s poem at the very end is sure to bring a
tear to one’s eye.
