self-defense forces
in eastern Ukraine
protecting
his people
from attack
by the Kiev junta
armed, trained
and directed
by US-NATO

He often spoke
of peace
between
Ukrainian brothers
he spoke of feeding
the people
offering social
justice
as a vision
of a real nation
and a better future

Alexei Mozgovoi
was killed today
gunned down
in an ambush
by shooters
who felt
threatened
by his peaceful
words
and directness
as he pointed
out
the real enemies
of the people
the oligarchies
that rule
from both sides
of the divide
