The collapsing US military & economic empire is making Washington & NATO even more dangerous. US could not beat the Taliban but thinks it can take on China-Russia-Iran...a sign of psychopathology for sure. @BruceKGagnon

Ebola On The Backs of ISIS

Pot Calling the Kettle Black

US running for cover as their 'war on ISIS' not going well so they blame their allies.  The truth is that the US has been training, funding, arming, and directing the so-called "Syrian rebels" for the past couple of years.

This kind of hypocrisy is typical in Washington - start wars and blame others.

Space Week Message from Sweden

October 4, 2014

On behalf of the Swedish Peace Committee I extend our support for Keep Space for Peace Week. We hope it will be a success in spreading awareness and lead to strengthened mobilization for peace.

Today is Global Action Day Against Drones. There will be activities in Stockholm and Kiruna today and during the coming week.  It is inspiring to see the myriad of activities in other countries which are listed on the Space4Peace site.

Even if  we are not flying kites this week some of us will be meeting in Gothenburg to formulate and launch activities to resist parliamentary approval of the 'Host Nation Support Treaty' which puts in question Swedish non-alliance and neutrality, even if Sweden does not become a formal member of NATO.

The newly elected government may avoid formal NATO membership but the Host Nation Support Treaty must also be rejected.  We are disappointed by the Green Party which has scuttled its opposition to new jet fighters and submarines in order to join the new coalition government in Sweden.

Again we support whole heartedly your efforts to keep weapons out of space. It is a crucial element in the promotion of conflict resolution and peace.

Missile Defense: A Trojan Horse

A protest at US NSA/NRO space spy base at Menwith Hill in England

I was looking through some old US Space Command documents last night in preparation for a talk on the militarization of space that I will do on Saturday here in Maine.  The New England War Tax Resistance group has their 29th annual meeting in Kennebunk, Maine this weekend and I will speak along with CodePink Maine coordinator Lisa Savage.

Inside the Space Command's Long Range Plan (published in 1998) I found a paperclip on page 74 and in a section called 'End State' was something I marked many years ago with a yellow highlighter:

In 2020, we see space forces completely integrated with land, sea, and air forces.  Warfighters are trained to take full advantage of space capabilities in special, joint, and combined warfare.  Should threats to our national security emerge and our civilian leadership decide, weapons in space could be deployed - first for national missile defense, then toward theater missile defense, and eventually for additional missions.  Tactics, techniques, and procedures mature as a result of policies and doctrine that encourage employing capabilities from all mediums throughout the entire spectrum of conflict.

It is more than clear that "missile defense" is about offense - full spectrum dominance.

In a book called Arming The Heavens: The Hidden Military Agenda for Space, 1945-1995 author Jack Manno tells the story about Hitlers rocket team that was brought to the US at the end of WW II under the program of Operation Paperclip.  The 100 leading Nazi scientists and engineers were brought to Huntsville, Alabama to create the US space program.  One of them, Maj. Gen. Walter Dornberger, had been the head of Hitler's military space program.  Manno writes about Dornberger:

Before a [US] congressional hearing in 1958, Dornberger insisted that America's top space priority ought to be to "conquer, occupy, keep, and utilize space between the earth and the moon."  In an address to a National Missile Industry Conference, he dismissed NASA's early space-flight program as "space stunts" and urged that more attention be given to space weaponry.  "Gentlemen," he told the missile men, "I didn't come to this country to lose the Third World War - I lost two."

Dornberger was the first to come up with the idea that the US should put orbiting battle stations into the heavens that would allow the military to knock out satellites and hit targets on the Earth.  While some of these systems have yet to be deployed they certainly have been, and still are, under development by the US aerospace industry.

The telling point is that the Nazi program of using military space technology to control the Earth below is indeed at the core of the US Space Command program in 2014 and beyond.  Thus 'missile defense' is indeed a Trojan Horse - a way to sell an offensive program to Congress and the American people under the guise of defending the homeland and 'our allies'.

More US-NATO War Games on Russian Border

The US is deploying troops and tanks to Poland and the Baltic states. The move is part of Operation Atlantic Resolve – a NATO response to alleged Russian involvement in eastern Ukraine.

You Can Call It Evil

US-NATO are currently holding joint war games in Ukraine with their puppet Kiev government.  Likely when the war 'exercises' are over the US-NATO arms merchants will leave a shit load of military hardware there for the neo-Nazi's inside the Kiev regime to use against their own citizens in the eastern part of the country.

In the meantime the Kiev bullies keep shelling the east and the people there try their best to defend themselves.

The US-NATO want to create chaos along Russia's border like they are doing in the Middle East ..... and in the process the war industries make 19% profits.

Yes you can call it evil.

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

Great Start to Keep Space for Peace Week

This photo came to me this morning from Nick Deane in Australia.  His short note read "Things are even happening in Sydney, Australia."  It's a joy to think about how ideas can spread all around the globe.  Can't keep the truth down for long.

Yesterday the photo below came my way from Global Network board member MacGregor Eddy in California.  It was from a protest at Beale AFB in that state (the base I lived at when I graduated from high school in 1970.  My step-father worked at the base on the cameras for the SR-71 'Blackbird' spy plane.)

MacGregor wrote:

Early KS4P event at Beale AFB in Marysville, CA, 2 arrests on Sept 28, 9 arrestees pictured above on Sept 30th, lots more protesters, but the arrested included four veterans and two clergy and one Global Network board member, aka yours truly. I am on the far left in this photo, Beale is home of the U-2 spy plane and now the Global Hawk drone.

A great start to Keep Space for Peace Week.

Kiev Continues to Violate Cease Fire

Prisoner swaps in Ukraine are in danger of stalling as rebels say they will no longer tolerate Kiev’s practice of producing random people for exchange instead of actual members of militia and political prisoners.

Amazing Catholic Solidarity on Jeju Island

Catholic priests and nuns blocked the entrance yesterday to the Navy base now being built in Gangjeong village on Jeju Island, South Korea.  The occasion was the 3rd anniversary of Catholic solidarity in the village to oppose base construction.

Father Mun Jeong-hyon crawled under a cement truck during the ceremony.

In addition a ground breaking ceremony was held for the new Gangjeong Life and Peace Pastoral Center that will be built in the village. About 100 people attended the ceremony which was blessed by Bishop Kang U-il of Jeju diocese. The pastoral center will be located just behind the current peace center in Gangjeong village and scheduled to be completed by next June.

Wouldn't it be great to see the Catholic Church this engaged in peace protests in other parts of the world?  The Catholic community in South Korea is unlike any I've ever seen before.  More power to them!

No Biz Like War Biz

The Pentagon says its bombing campaign in Iraq is costing taxpayers up to 10 million dollars a day. But according to a leading Washington-based think tank, the bill is even higher. RT's Egor Piskunov reports.
