ITALIANS TAKE DOWN US ARMY BASE FENCE

Peace activists in the northern Italian city of Vicenza take action against US Army Dal Molin base and the war on Syria. They cut the fence and entered the base and were met with tear gas by the US military.

The US base in Vicenza hosts the Army's Airborne Combat Brigade and the US Africa Command's (AFRICOM) "US Army Africa."

For last the several years Italians have organized large protests in Vicenza against the expansion of the base.  Just last weekend they hosted an international online conference to ban all US military bases around the planet.  Peace campaigners from Italy, Hawaii, Philippines, Diego Garcia, South Korea, Okinawa, and more took part.
