FOR THE GRUMPS LIKE ME OUT THERE
According to one comment in a recent blog I am nothing but an old grump who needs the war machine to keep me from having to find a real job....or something like that.
In other words, Bruce get a life! Be positive, be happy. Stop your raging against the machine!
Here is acclaimed journalist, author and political activist Barbara Ehrenreich as she explores the darker side of positive thinking.
Sorry folks, call me a grump all you want. But if that's what you call someone who cares about peace and social justice then yes, I am a full-fledged grump!
If we ignore the problems and never talk against them, never draw the attention of people who the Warmongers and other social parasites would rather not have know all the ugly, immoral and illegal things they do, then because nobody would know about it... the problems would simply vanish. Imagine how wonderful that would be! Hitler's mad murder spree.. if people had simply shut the hell up about it then it would have never happened.
ReplyDeleteBad Wicked Meanie Malcontents! Naughty!
I wrote that before watching the video.
ReplyDeleteEvery now and then I get a flash of what I could take as pure evidence of Metaphysics. Then again, that crap has been dumped all over everybody involved in opposing the Empire so often it stands to reason that many are now thinking along those lines
Sometimes the most productive and positive thoughts are the ones described as Negatives. Panic and Fear are a necessary path to clear the mind and prepare the body for corrective action.
There IS a positive mantra that works, it was used long before I was born, when mom was a kid and dinosaurs ruled the earth... "keep the Faith"
It's scriptural so of course it got into the Civil Rights movement.
