With a new administration in Washington it will be a challenge to get the 'liberals' to hold Biden-Harris to the few 'progressive promises' they made during their campaign. Biden is bringing back many of Bush & Obama's neo-cons to head his foreign policy. I'll be on this case without hesitation.

The seasons turn reminding me that change will come again.

Base conversion does create jobs. Marching with creative art and theater to illustrate the wasteful dangerous presence of the US military is a great way to communicate that we can, we can, we can do without these costly bases. Mare Island Naval Base as well as Fort Ord Army Base both successfully converted to peaceful projects: Fort Ord is now California State Univ. Monterey, and Mare Island is thoroughly being enjoyed by the City of Vallejo as a wonderful port village. Sadly, however, we must always remember that all military bases are greviously polluted, as both Mare Island and Fort Ord have discovered, and must be environmentally monitored for decades, centuries, and milleniums.
